How do you find out your body fat %?

thanks!

There's plenty of quinoa here!

I'm an Aussie living in the UK who has also lived in the US, so can translate American practices into UK equivalents ;-)

Looks at days off as a prize rather than something to be guilty abut. You should feel guilty that you're not being kind to your muscles and giving them the space they need to mend themselves to best strength. On your days off, look at that as a super healthy day and concentrate on experimenting with new recipes and meal…

Mmmm... I love cottage cheese. Every brand tastes different and has a different consistency - so have fun trying them all out and seeing which one you love the best!

You won't 'tone' without building resistance and doing weights. Change up your workout sometimes but adding in the weights machines and/or adding time + resistance to your cardio. If your gym does classes - that's also a great way to get all over body workouts.

Ha! I'm famous!! I have updated the past few 'missed' days, now that everything is up and running again. I knew it would be a bad weekend - overseas friends in town and we did a baking class... a good cook always tastes their wares! And then we did a roadtrip which ended up with me having to drive 10 hours in one day, due…

What do you mean by 'self-made dinners' versus 'prepare your own dinners'? I do all my own cooking unless I am at someone's house for dinner or out at a restaurant. All the 'RACHs' items are my own recipes that I've inserted into MFP in order to get correct calorie counts. I really do need to cut back on the 'treats'... I…

I'm not sure I have any advice - but I have a similar issue and would love to get some help! I am really good at keeping the calories down at the start of the day but I find I end up with so many calories left by the end, that I feel like I have to use them all up and over-eat, even though I am not hugely hungry. This…

I noticed today that all the mirrors in the gym are skinny mirrors - FEELING FABULOUS AGAIN!
-
I'm thinking of just chopping off my foot... it's always my left one, too!

Find whichever scales say you weigh the least and stick with those ;-) We don't need know-it-all old codger scales to get us depressed and make us lose our mojo!
-
Any updates? Are you awake these days? :-)
-
Any updates? How are you going?
-
Not that I've noticed... but I'll pay attention to my toes next time I swim!

No doctor I've ever mentioned it to has had an answer. They're the ones who suggested bananas and water. I haven't asked recently though - I'm an Aussie, and therefore I rarely go to doctors ;-) We go when we're dying!

I'm on a recovery day at the moment (aaah, the joys of overdoing it at the gym), but next time I break a sweat, I'm going to join in on this!

I've not looked at the C25K, but I learnt to run with a colleague during our lunch breaks. We made a circular route in the streets around the office in the city and used the street blocks as progressive targets. We were never allowed to stop, but if we had to stop running we would walk for a black and then start running…

I'm loving this series!!! Another great one to watch is Jimmy and the Giant Supermarket - where Farmer Jimmy tries to prove to Tesco that you can make their best selling meat products free range/organic. I can't remember whether it's on BBC, 4OD or ITV, though... it's definitely on one of the freeview channels that you can…

Your meals are looking very heavy, which might be leading to post meal food comas versus feeling fab after feeding. Try adding in more raw, natural foods to balance the meats and processed foods. Now and then you have a piece of fruit or a few leaves of lettuce, but I've not seen any decent intake of raw fibre, which helps…

Are you sleeping enough? :-) Perhaps your workout is too regular - try changing it up a bit, or try and go for longer. And future_runner is right, without seeing your diary, it's hard to advise further!

I'm around daily - friend me to kick me in the *kitten*, if I miss a day!

protein, alcohol and desserts! If I'm in control of the cooking, it's the protein and alcohol that add up as I have a savoury tooth - but when I am being hosted by someone else, I find they make huge desserts - so whilst I've filled up on my preferred protein, I still feel required to have the dessert :-(
-
Try kicking your own *kitten* first - I would only invest in the money if you can't keep up a regular workout or you feel you're injuring yourself. Find a gym that has plenty of fun classes to choose from and you'll find you'll get to know the regulars pretty quick and you'll have automatic gym buddies who notice when…

Be careful of light beers for those who don't live in the US... for the rest of the world, 'light' beer means light in alcohol, not light in calories... I've had quite a few American friends consume an alarming amount of 'light beer' and wonder why they don't get drunk and put on heaps of weight...

I don't 'cheat' but I do have daily 'treats' as long as they fit within my daily limit. Otherwise, I find, that when I've reached my goal and start re-eating the foods I love, the weight goes straight back on. If you keep your favourite foods as part of your diet, then it leads to a perfect life! So on most days I will…

I agree!! I'm addicted to Graze! Raw almonds are the best nut to snack on.
