My personal experience is that a little bit of sugar isnt all bad. I wouldnt cut it out completely at all. I did switch to sweeteners and it sent my stomach crazy, it was like a washing machine as the aspartamine went to town on me! I'm pretty much in the same boat. For my first week i eat normal to see where i was at and today is my first concerted effort at it, i dont mind buddying up........i love a challenge! ha ha
