  • There is hope! Lasers are getting really good at reducing the apperance of strech marks. Also thermage can tighten skin and improve the texture and appearance. When I get to goal and maintain it for awhile I am going to spend the money on some plastic surgery to give me my bikini body back.
  • So, I took a quick look at your diary and your food choices look good. Lots of variety, plenty of good fats and veggies. However, I do think you need to drop your calories. Try this for a week: Eat 1200-1400 calories per day and do not eat your activity calories. Try to emilinate all your refined carbohydrates and foods…
  • Soy Kashi Go Lean (fiber and protein) Any roasted nut cottage cheese Oroweat Healthfull Breads (you can also bake your own banana/zuchinni bread with nuts and protein powder in it.)
  • I keep telling myself: When I get to goal and decide I am done having kids. I am going to get thermage to tighten the skin on my stomach and thighs, a breast lift, and laser treatment on my stretch marks. I have a feeling even at goal my body will be forever changed by the process of gaining weight and having two kids. For…
  • I forgot to tell you to recheck how tall you are. At age 20 it is possible that you are still growing. I grew three inches (about 8cm) in college between the ages of 18 and 22. Every inch (2.5cm) taller does add about 5 needed lbs (little over 2 kg) to your frame.
  • So your current BMI is 21.2 well with in a healthy range. My suggestion to you is to stay away from the scale. Go get your body fat percentages tested instead. Lift free weights to tone up and be as active as you feel comfortable with. Give your body plenty of healthy whole foods, eliminate the simple sugars and try to…
  • Hey hon, How tall are you? 45KG might not be a healthy goal weight for your hight. I had to do the calculation but you are shooting for around 99 lbs. If you are over 156cm (about 5'1") tall you are trying to achieve an unhealthy weight. Your BMI should not be less than 18.5. So how tall are you?
  • Exercise: I have been mixing a little free weight training with pushups/pullup, and cardio everyother day (P90X workouts). I am also doing 60 min of pilates on days I don't do p90x. I could add sprint training, but I really hate running. (It makes my boobs hurt).
  • Go to YouTube and search p90x results. Once I saw someone else with the same starting body as me suceed at getting sexy it ignited my fire. I am also hitting a plateau with the weight loss, but you have to remember that when the pounds melt off rapidly it is almost always water your loosing. The fat always takes longer to…
  • Thank you so much for your story. It is always inspiring to see someone who is sticking with it and making positive changes in their life. I have been stuck for the last 14 days with no loss and was starting to get frustrated. Contemplating going back to being "FAT AND HAPPY". Your story has kept me from giving up. Thanks…
  • Bump. Darn scale is still stuck. Gained today. GRRR.
  • Bump myself... Hoping to hear from a few more people.
  • We are big sandwich buffs around my house. PB and J, Tuna, Turkey (alot of turkey, not sure if that counts as chicken or not). Usually, I make them the night before all in a row so it makes the prep go faster. I also throw in yogert, pudding, blueberries, strawberries, mini bags of carrots (no one ever seems to eat those),…
  • I just tell myself that the hunger is a normal unpleasant physiologic experience designed to keep me alive. For obvious reasons your body is programmed at all costs not to lose weight. If you forgot to eat back in the old hunter gather days you were weeded out of the gene pool and died of starvation. Hunger is an…
  • My husband and I have always been very open about our bodies with one exception, after our kids were born my weight was top classified information. Nowdays, I tell him my successes and failures on and off the scale and he helps to keep me accountable. I found that when I kept my weight a gaurded secret that is when I…
  • Do you log your food on the weekends? I had a really hard time sticking with my diet until I started to log every day, good bad or indifferent. Sometimes I have to write it down manually so it is stuck in my head. A trick that has been working to help me make positive changes is to actually imagine the specific change I…
  • The scale is on the tile floor in my bathroom so it is on a firm service. I didn't think about the battery though. I'll try switching it out and see if it makes a difference.
  • Hi, I am also Jennifer (Sometimes I wish my parents had been a little more original) and I feel your pain. Working with kids makes the Gym pretty much an impossible feat. At least for me. I am in pretty much the same boat. Some days I feel like I have a zip on fat suit pulled on over me and I swear this isn't my body…
  • I like what you said about adding protein in the morning. I think I'll add some Go LEAN to my grocery list this week. That would also help up the fiber in my diet which has been lacking.
  • I love how it can be the middle of the night where I am at and there are still loads of helpful and encouraging folks on MFP. It is amazing how quickly good feedback comes on this forum.
  • Just a thought, but maybe to have too much muscle to weigh 108. Try doing more reps at a smaller weight. Or subsitute a cardio day for a weight lifting day. Did you work out so hard when you were at that weight before? Because you may be in better shape and just have gained muscle mass which isn't really a bad thing.…
