As long as you're in a deficit, it is fine.

It depends on how much weight you have to lose. If you have a lot of weight to lose, you can get away with a larger deficit. However, the closer you are to your goal, the smaller the deficit has to be to minimize muscle loss.

You don't have to eat breakfast if you don't want to. Meal timing is irrelevant. Eat when you feel like it. Just hit your caloric goals before you hit the sack.
