I can relate! I am a mom of 11 year old twins and work 2 jobs. I struggle sticking with it too! I think once I see results it is easier for me to keep going. Tracking has worked for me, as long as I track. Having friends on here has helped also.

Very inspiring! Thank you for sharing!

I'm in! I really like the whole concept. Sometimes I just need to be reminded to help myself so I can better help others. I am an art therapist and counselor, so you would think this would be second nature to me. Unfortunately, it's not. I just painted my nails with my daughter...something I told her we would do for the…

You are not alone. I have the same problem on my days off which don't always fall on the weekend. I had a beer yesterday and could not believe it was over 200 calories! It was relaxing though.. Even though the chips and guac called my name;) Today is a new day! We can do it;)

Hello?

Got a little lost... but here I am. Still being mindful but have felt too busy to track. I think I got discouraged when I weighed in on Tuesday and gained a little (less than a pound - but still). My goal was to lose 2 pounds. I know my TOM was not helping the goal but still the numbers were discouraging. I need to try to…

I didn't count calories last night but I think I did ok. I took smaller portions and tried to be more aware of how my body was feeling. I felt very full after only eating a small amount. I am sure I still went way over though... The food choices were very rich but once in awhile is OK. I am back on track today! Now, if I…

I have been walking on the treadmill for 30 min 3 times a week (3.5 mph with a 5+ incline). I recently began running for 1 minute increments during that 30 minutes. I am not a runner! I was able to do it though and I plan on working my way up to 2, 3, 4 minutes etc. What ever you do, make your goal realistic and allow…

I argue with myself all the time! The healthy me is getting stronger everyday. Sometimes the unhealthy one seems stronger but she is really the weak one. One day at a time.... I have been writing positive statements on my bathroom mirror as well as my weight loss goals. Seeing that helps to remind me of why I am making…

It's 4am and I am feeling soooo hungry. Im at work for another 3 hrs---yuck! I already ate the food I brought/planned for. Working a 16 hour shift really makes it hard to have a normal day... I can do it! I can do it! I can do it! BTW - I already know I am going to be over on Saturday and I am allowing myself to be-- no…

IALMAO! But seriously, listen to the advice given here... I really like the one about throwing away the chips and then giving them the finger. Put them down the dish disposal or smash them into tiny pieces and then throw them away. Who really needs them anyway? You can be stronger than the pantry calling your name! Can't…

Dear librarian- I know I walked into the library to pick up my book on hold right after a work-out with a red face and sweaty hair. I am busy and wanted to get my errands done when I was able which was right after my work-out. I don't appreciate your dirty looks and snotty attitude. I deserve to be treated nicely. I am…

I made it through my first long day and stayed under 1200 and drank all my water! I was tempted to eat when I got home but I watched some mindless TV and then went to bed, resisting the urge. I kept thinking about this challenge too! It helped to keep me on track. Today is going well so far. Got to the gym and worked out.…

I have a good feeling about this group! I have done very well yesterday and today so far. I am worried about the next few days though... I am working two long days in a row, Wednesday is 930am-10pm and Thursday is 3pm-730am. I don't do this very often but my husband is not working and I need to pick up extra shifts…

I wondered where these letters went... thanks for starting..

You could get a Wii fit plus but how will you know the calories that you are burning? I have found that the estimates are usually not very accurate. I have both and wear the HRM while doing wii so I know how many calories I am burning. They would both be good investments, IMO but make sure you get a HRM with a chest strap!

I was under allowed amount, worked out, and drank my water. It was a good day! How are we going to be keeping track or this? I have joined challenges in the past but forgot about it and no one said 'Hey - what happened to you' so I just let it go. I am going to friend request those on this thread and hope that we can keep…

I'm shivering just thinking about that. I will have to do some research into the reasons cold would boost metabolism and see if it's worth it. I hate to be cold but I do want to boost my metabolism...hmmm?

I am interested. Goals: 1) Eat 1200 calories a day or be within allowed amount on work-out days. 2) Work-out at least 3 times a week to equal or exceed 90 minutes 3) Drink 8 8oz glasses of water everyday Ready. Set. Go!

Just think about how many years you have been thinking that way and been negative self talking to yourself. It will take time and work to change that negative talk. Try to think about where that core belief (that you are not good enough or something like that) is coming from and challenge yourself to change it. I can…
