For me personally, a HRM is the way to go. It is always lower than the machines at the gym and MFP. I have great success with mine. I've maintained a 50 pound loss for over 4 years and I'm now trying to shred another 15. I'm just going a little slower this time.

It helps! Weight loss is about calories....in verses out. For me personally, when I exercise I feel much better.

Yes, it does. I liked weight watchers but I like MFP better because I don't feel as limited in my choices. I did the on-line version of WW and had success before I joined MFP. I've lost and been able to maintain over 50 pounds for several years. I just want to lose a little more. I believe that consistency is the key in…

Me! Me! I don't sell anything. I also am in the "lose" it again stage. I need new friends!

I lost and maintained a 45 pound weight loss for several years on my own. Since I've started tracking, I lost another 12. I'd would like to lose another 10 - 15 more but have taken up weight lifting, so we will see. It's easier with MFP to stay on track.

The one thing that tickles me is when I'm on an elliptical with my resistance at 8 or 10 and someone gets on one beside me and will up their resistance. I like to think that I'm inspiring them :-)

Most days! I try but there are times when I'm not. Weekends are my hardest!

Just thought I'd introduce myself since I stalk this forum! I love  NROL4W!! I am in the middle of Stage 1. I started the first of February. I am a 43 year old mother of 2 boys and I've been married to thesweetest man on earth for almost 20 years! I've been a member of a gym for about 7 years but did nothing but…

I am going to be honest with you. There are days that I go to the gym and I am really not that motivated. There are days I go and I go all out! I've been going to a gym for years but doing mostly cardio, until this year. I've started New Rules of Lifting for Women. So I am living with sore muscle :-). Just the other day…

It really make you wonder what kind of person they are in real life! Are they really that way, deep down?

I TOTALLY know how you feel!! I was at below my goal weight and then BAM, I put back on 23 pounds! I didn't get back up to where I was originally but was headed there when I decided that I had worked toooo hard and it was too important to me to get back on it! It takes work, yes, but once you get into the groove then it…

Some days I eat my exercise calories, some days I don't. I've lost steadily since July. I'm 2 pounds from my goal. You have to find what works for you. Just don't give up!

Started July of this year, currently down 29 pounds.......only 2 pounds to my goal! Very excited!!! I exercise at least 35 minutes 4 days a week. My calories are set at 1450 by my choice. It's working for me :). My December goal is to maintain....so far so good.

WOW! U look great!!!!

If u really don't want my opinion then don't ask. There r times when I'm too honest. But i try really hard not to lie.
-
I totally 100% agree!!! I love it. Thanks for sharing.

They work! I use an exercise ball, my back does not like the floor and I am starting to see definition in my abs.
-
I am thinking about going into maintenance mode for the month of December. I am 6 pounds from my goal and if I don't gain any then I will be happy. I'm like you, I always seem to gain in the month of December!

Hi! I am 42 years old, been married for 18 years to the most wonderful man in the world and i have have 2 boys (ages 13 and 8). These three keep me on the go most of the time. My husband is full time military. My story is a little different than most people on MFP. I started losing weight over 5 years ago. I went from…

42 here and well on my way to being fabulous...... I've found the 40s easier on me than my 30s, probably because I had 2 boys in my 30s!
-
It really is about changing your life! It's for the better. But you don't have to give up on all things.

We decided to send our boys to public school. We debated it for a very long time but decided that they would get a better education in public. That is here, where we live. My son scores very high on the mandated tests that are given every year, in the high 90 percentile. This has allowed him to be a part of the Duke Talent…

When I started this journey, my goal was to be in a size 10. I've have since passed that and I'm currently in a size 8. I am 8 pounds away from my goal weight of 135. So a 6 is my goal in clothing size, but that's not as important as my health. I have been doing this to be healthy!! That is my ultimate goal. I still have…
