I had spinal fusion almost 7 years ago after an infection at the vertebrae in my lower back. It is possible to lose weight post surgery. Since running is too stressful for my injury, I walk for my exercise.

Sounds like you did it right, the water will turn brown and you don't want the water to reduce all the way out. Just cook them until they get to the softness that you desire. I use the quick soak method all the time.

Weekends are hard. I usually plan out every meal beforehand, but that doesn't always work with weekends and plans changing.

I just post each ingredient separately. Also, if you use the same meals frequently, you can set them up under recipes, and it will divide all the ingredients up per plate only problem is you have to guess how many servings it will make. I tend to use this if I make a big batch that I will eat for several days.

Yes it works but they aren't as good as fresh, and they burn quicker. I put them in a cast iron skillet that was sprayed with oil in a 350-400 oven for 15-20 minutes.

I think it's great that you have lost a pound, that might seem low, but you could be a lot worse with just quitting smoking. I signed up here when I quit chewing tobacco because I was afraid of gaining even more. Stick with it, you are better off today than you were yesterday, and not near as good as you will be tomorrow!

Walking in a pool or pool exercises ( I think it's called aquasize). Those would be safest bets, maybe ask the pt for more recommendations. It is difficult but can be done. i walk/jog 3 miles everyday and wore the same shorts, I had worn the week before got half way and had to hold them up by the belt loop the entire rest of the way home.
