Personally, I'm a huge fan of the visual tests. Like all body fat measurements, they are inaccurate, but they do give you a general idea of where you're at. Best of all (I'm a broke university student), they're free to use. A guide to characteristics of each fat % level:…

I really don't meant to be rude because this is a happy thread based on an inspiring accomplishment, but did anyone else laugh a little reading the "OMG" in the title with a huge grown-up man's voice? Maybe it was just me. Seriously, congrats.

Fair enough. Maybe if more genuine people say it, you'll stop associating the compliment with your douchey relatives. Therefore: You really have lost weight. And look great.

I don't think people are saying that you've lost weight to be mean. As long as they associated with you before as much as afterwards (which is apparently not the case with your family), and genuinely seem happy for you, then they're probably just noticing that your hard work has paid off. Most genuinely nice people mean it…

Unless you were eating 6000+ calories of McDonald's a day, you could not have possibly Therefore, the majority, if not all, of it has to be something else. Check your sodium intake (water retention). Seems counter-intuitive, but drink a ton of water over the next few day and try to flush whatever is in there out. The…

Trust me, the first few days of invisalign are terrible, but they'll pass.. I've had trays in going on a year now, and believe me, the first few days are still easily the worst. Afterwards, it gets alot easier to tak them out and put them back in. My eating wasn't hampered in any way by them. It'll get better, believe me,…

You'll lose weight, but you won't have much tone to speak of, because your muscle will all be covered in fat

Sorry about lateness. Just got back from weekend trip. Will post official start weight tomorrow morning. Also, if there's a spot on the Orange Iguanas left, I'd be thrilled to have it.

Good. Everyone should watch EpicMealTime after a cheat day. Just think, "Well, at least I didn't eat that."

Something my mom said that resonated with me. She's struggled with her weight for years, pretty much since she had my sister and I, but she's one of the hardest working people, both in life and exercise, that I've ever met. "I might never win the fight, but I'll never stop fighting. Because if I had, God knows where I'd be…

I find that stairs are an excellent core/leg workout, with the bonus of a boatload of cardio if you go hard enough.

I'd like to re-iterate that it's incredibly difficult to notice gradual change in a person you see everyday. It might be a little ironic, but it might take someone less prominent in your life, who hasn't seen you for a while to notice rather than your family and/or friends that see you daily.

All any diet is useful for is to create a structured eating plan. It's not so much that you eat good things (though that's important for overall health), it's the organized meals that don't allow for over-eating that make the biggest difference weight-wise.

I know that my father ends up on the couch 4-5 nights a week for the simple reason that he gets too warm and tosses and turns in the middle of the night. It doesn't usually bug my mom, but he's always concerned that it will, so if he's too warm to sleep, he just goes to the couch. Oh, and they've been happily married for…

Another guy over here. There are a few of us, most of us just don't talk much.

If you believe people are going to be ridiculing you when you wear that skirt, that's all you're going to hear, even if it's not there. The biggest part of wearing any revealing clothing is confidence. You're exposing not only your legs, but your hard work to the world. Trust in yourself and the work that you've done…
