  • Bath with baby wipes and deodorant. Works as well now as when I was a Marine ENJOY and run on
  • If you are sore immediately after or during your work out it very well could be an injury which you should not work through on the other hand if you sore the day after and even sore two days after that is most likely your muscles healing and recovering. and that requires rest. I personally add or take weight off weight to…
  • Higher protein foods do leave you feeling less hungry than an equal Calories of Carbs. But you can not go completely carb free your brain will stop working. I am in the same boat, I have a huge hunger and it is hard to satisfy. It is important for me to eat bulky and low cal. foods, lettuce, celery, nuts, berries etc...
  • I would go treasure hunting at Goodwill(s) Not because I have to, but because I can (more fun when that is the case :-)

  • Cholesterol I am 50 salt preserves me LOL
  • It does burn some additional calories but not a significant amount. In order to burn more calories than what you would normally by just staying alive (run the brain, keep you heart moving etc..) you have to increase your heart rate. Resistance training really doesn't increase your heart rate. It will in very short burst…
  • For home I would choose the treadmill. Much more versatile and it trains you in what you do every day walk or run.. Unless you plan to ride a bike a lot then it would be best to train on a bike.
  • I believe you should do something every day. 4 of those cardio work outs should be at a higher intensity pushing the envelope so to speak. The idea is to not only work out but also to get into the habit of working out. Good luck
  • Yes the MFP is just a best guess most likely and average. you HRM will give you the best results. Some of the cardio machines in the gym will also give a different count sometimes. Just depends how the machine figures it. when you report you exercise you can change the Calories burnt.
  • TheMaid is correct. If you filled your info in (BMR, weight, age activity level) correctly and set your weight loss per week, MFP will set your caloric intake at a deficit. My BMR is 1946 Kcal my calories are 1200 Kcal so a deficit of 746 Kcal. I normally burn 600-800 Kcal in cardio if I did not eat at least some of them…
  • If your talking about cardio then you really can't go wrong with starting with the tread mill. The real secret is to do something every day. I would suggest 30 minutes on the tread mill and 15 minutes on any other machine in the gym this way you will start to learn the advantages and dis-advantages of the other machines
  • I just replaced mine with a SUNTO kind of in between the prices you mentioned $99.00. There are a lot of options out there, Sportsline is reliable and of Course POLAR, Timex also has some options. Remember to only get the options you truly need and that will help keep the price down. Good Luck
  • I have always preferred to make my own Scoop of Vanilla Protein Powder 1/2 C Silk Almond Milk 1/2 C light vanilla yogurt 1 banana (or fruit of your choice) About 250-300 KCal Remember this is a meal replacement
  • The secret is do SOMETHING everyday.
  • I is a great day when not only that you didn't eat it but didn't want to. Great JOb
  • If you want to get faster, The secret is wheres your heart at? It is all about your target heart rate amd zone exercise. Exercising your heart is somewhat like exercising any muscle in your body, as I work a muscle at a certain weight eventually as I gain strength that weight will become ineffective to tax my muscle. It is…

  • Your BMR Basil Metabolic Rate, takes into account your height, weight and age to calculate the number of calories you need to just stay upright and breathing. For instance mine is 1869.7 Kcal. MFP also ask about your job or daily activity i.e sedentary etc. The more you weigh the higher your BMR. If you want to loose 2 lbs…
  • I used South Beach to get started dieting. What it did for me is eliminate simple sugars and BAD breads which was huge for me. Since then I try and eat as much or more protein Kcal as carbs. I also eat at least 25-30g of fiber a day which is the trick for me.
  • caloriesburned.com is a great site
  • The calories you burn lifting weights is minimal You really never increase you heart rate with resistance training. That's no reason to not lift. when you add muscle you increase the efficiency of burning calories
  • When you do weight (resistance training) you in a manner damage you muscles with rest they heal and add muscle. When you take an extended rest from resistance training, Planed or not, your muscles have a chance to heal hence you can lift more. Great time to up the weight or rep/sets If you feel like "jello" your muscle…
  • I personally like rice cakes with peanut butter But only Quaker Oats brand they have many flavors. Also LOVE frozen grapes
  • I am not sure where you are attending College but here at SMU, in Dallas (I work here ) the dinning staff would be more than happy to provide dietery information for what they prepare. We also have a very wide variety of foods prepared from vegie burgers and complete salad bar to icecream and pizza. I bet you can find the…
  • Outstanding those first few are tough and should be celerated just like the last two
  • Must be the day for that I did the same thing. Sometimes I plan it that way. It makes me work hard and stay at it. I cardioed out a pretty good dinner for myself tonight:-)
  • You know what I think I have that too. Thanks for the info
  • I first would give her a chance maybe couple sessions, have her write a resistence training plan for you maybe a 30 day cycle. Then make your decision. This is about what you need in a trainer and your results you can be a little selfish. Also if she is a good trainer she will adapt to your desire.
  • I do not believe this to be true. The only way spicy foods helps me loose weight faster is they make me run, like to the bathroom. I know that's TMI. Seriously just does not sound right to me
