It kind of sounds like you punish yourself for bingeing. If you binge the night before just get up and eat healthy and give yourself a break. If you starve yourself during the day your going to binge at night because your starving. Forgive yourself for the night before and move on. Good luck on your journey.

I too learned that the shakes have sucralose (artificial sweetner) in them which was a bummer. Another reason that I will only do the shakes short term.

I normally drink skim milk but recently picked up unsweetened almond milk because I heard that a lot of people drink it. It is 35 calories per cup versus 80 calories for skim. It is thicker and creamier as well. Your right though, what you pay for 1/2 gallon you can buy a gallon of skim. It is a nice change once in a while…

I think that exercise is very important if you eat over your calories. I try to only have a "cheat meal" and a snack and get back on. We cannot always be perfect and it is best not to deprive yourself but rather let yourself have it but in smaller portions. Good luck to you!

NSV means non scale victory....such as fitting into clothing you couldn't have before or somone notices your weight loss...it could be anything.

You have to eat more calories!! You should at least eat 1200 calories so your body doesn't go into starvation mode. Like the others said, if your sugars are coming from fresh fruit then I woudln't worry about it as much.

I think rewarding yourself is great for motivation. I usually set 20lb goals (because I have a lot to lose) and will get a new music CD or I even like to get makeup and nail polish. It doesn't have to be anything major, however, when I hit 50lbs I wil probably do something bigger. Good luck to you!

I think that would be great. Info on nutrition is always something I could learn more about but really I just like to learn so anything would be nice. One thing maybe you could include is why the more overweight a person is why they need to eat more calories.
