  • I am medically referred to as "Advanced Maternal Age" because I am 35. The terminology is ridiculous!
  • Happy to connect - I've found this group to be super helpful during this journey. I'm 29 weeks, also on my first pregnancy.

  • @RAxB and @wantoldme Thank you! Yes, feeling super relieved :) @1fit_mamma I don't have any advice but will say that my gains have been sporadic rather than steady. Some weeks several lbs and others not much. Seems like this kind of thing can really vary based on the mamma and the baby. You're doing great!
  • We decided not to find out, so no idea!
  • I love lentils as well as roasted veggies, especially sweet potatoes, right now. And also digging a simple salad made of chopped tomatoes, green onion, cukes, olive oil, white wine vinegar, greek seasoning and feta. It's really good on its own but also tasty when put on top of chicken breast, turkey burger patty, or mixed…
  • This is more of a random one - wasn't offensive but still left me wondering how perfect strangers can feel comfortable making comments to pregnant women. The woman working at the Walgreens photo counter told me with 100% certainty - and completely unsolicited, as I was merely just trying to scan some photos and wasn't even…

  • @spamarie Yay so exciting! So glad to hear everything went well. We are not finding out the sex, either. @phreekles Congratulations on your upcoming wedding - you have so many exciting things happening this year! I've been keeping track of my weight by stepping on the scale once a week. I record everything on the "how much…
  • Thank you, your story gives me hope! Hoping for a similar outcome!
  • @RAxB I feel you - sleeping has gotten really hard. I am usually a side sleeper but now wake up on my back all the time and then freak out that I'm harming the baby. I ordered a snoogle last week and am hoping that will help alleviate some of the hip pain and also keep me wedged into a side position. It still shocks me…

  • Congratulations on your sweet little boy. I'm so sorry this happened to you - it must have been so scary - but so glad to hear you are both getting stronger every day and your little guy will be home soon. Thinking of you!

  • Congrats @Hurricane_C and @VeryKatie on your beautiful babies! Hope everyone is doing well :)
  • @Hurricane_C Thank you for sharing, that's heartening news. And congratulations on your beautiful baby! @wantoldme how exciting! Congratulations on your happy news.
  • Yep, in Chicago too! Thank you for your kind words - sending good thoughts your way, too, for a healthy pregnancy and baby girl :)
  • All good points, thank you, VeryKatie! We shall see what happens and like you said, if it doesn't move, there are still options for safe delivery.
  • Congratulations! It's all so exciting, and I'm so glad to hear everything is looking great! I also had my 20 week scan this week. Baby is healthy and everything is in good shape. We are not finding out the sex. The tech told us our baby had big feet, too! Apparently my husband had huge feet when he was born, to the extent…

  • Joining the party here - I'm due November 2! Excited to connect with others who are on a similar time table. I haven't felt baby move yet, but was told I have an anterior placenta so would likely feel it later. I have my big ultrasound where they measure everything on June 12. Very excited and also a little nervous, as…

  • Do you guys remember which Fitbit style you had? There are a few different options, as you noted.
  • The doctor said I'm a bit high for weight gain at this point but as long as I'm eating healthy, staying within the healthy range of calories, and exercising regularly, she's not concerned. She said some women gain steadily over the course of the pregnancy, and others do not, and still others do everything they're supposed…
