It changes the way Fitbit calculates your adjustment. If it is personalized, it might think you are going to carry on running around all evening too. If it is sedentary, you earn the adjustment as you are more/less active throughout the day. MFP and FitBit always have a small discrepancy in what my calorie goal should be,…

MFP is estimating your burn to be 2530. Fitbit is telling you you actually burnt 3150. That is where your adjustment comes from. The fitness goals in MFP have no impact on your calorie goal, just targets to achieve. The difference in the FitBit adjustment might have to do with a FitBit setting. Go in Fitbit and on the Food…

I'm guessing, you have MFP at a sedentary level? MFP gives you a BMR of 2530, less 1000 calories for 2lb per week loss is 1530. Fitbit calculates that you were very active (20,000 steps is a lot) and your actual burn was 3150. In order to get your MFP calorie adjustment, it looks at what you've burnt, what MFP says your…

Does it say 2530 then you subtracted 1000 for your goal? Or does it say 2530 based on a 2lb a week loss?
-
Is your MFP profile set to active or lightly active? It only adjusts for activity above the activity it expects you to have. I keep my MFP profile to sedentary so I get credit for when I am busy, but get not credit if I sit on the couch all day. Also, make sure your MFP goals and Fitbit setup is the same, i.e. to lose 1lb…

Absolutely. Worth every penny!

Congrats on your achievement! You are one smoking momma!

Clonazepam. Ativan wears off to quickly.

My name is Devon. (Pronounced Devin) I'd be willing to bet there is a male twin before a female...

Sounds like IBS-D. Immodium will be your best friend. Go see a doc. to make sure other things like Chron's and Colitis can be ruled out

I have a similar problem..carrots, peppers, lettuce & peas being the worst offenders. It is normal with corn as the exterior is non-digestible. I know the cause of mine. I have IBS and have a history of ulcers/GERD etc. Is it just with vegetables or do you have other digestive issues? I unfortunately don't know if the…

It's sounds like a terrible non-profit (I don't know which one you're talking about...) Just because they are non-profit doesn't mean they are exempt from treating employees and clients properly. They have to follow the laws just like any for profit company. Maybe not what you want to hear, but sometimes someone has to be…

Don't quit. Even with a crappy union you have rights. If they fire you without reason, you have a case for wrongful dismissal. Even without your union, Ontario has strong labour laws. They have to provide a minimum of 1 week notice, and they need a just cause. They would have had to document (in writing) and discuss with…

The difference is the features of the device. There is a comparison page on the Polar website. I found the FT4 a good combination of features without paying a fortune for it. (Basically I wanted it to tell me how many calories burned in a workout.) You can choose other models to compare the FT4 with here:…

That link will take you directly to the FT4 page on the Fitness Depot website. It comes with a strap, a watch and the transmitter that you attach to the strap. You wear the watch and the strap at the same time.

That's a good one. But you can get it cheaper. I got mine at the Fitness Depot. http://shop.fitnessdepot.ca/FT4F-Heart-Rate-Monitor-P825.aspx

It doesn't matter what works for everyone else. Based on your stats, your Basic Metabolic Rate is 1564. That's how many calories you'd burn if you spent 24 hours in bed. If you ate that everyday...you'd still lose weight, albeit slowly. 1400 is probably a good starting point for an increase. You would need almost 1900…

I really like Manitoba Harvest Pro 70. It's a little pricey but water soluble so it's not gritty. Great for adding into smoothies.
-
You must be Canadian. But you forgot one part of the Construction season, the bugs!
-
I also foster cats! I've had over 30 cats in the last year. Too many pictures to start posting them all! According to the other ladies in my rescue, I'm too young to be a crazy cat lady, so they tell me I'm a "crazy cat lady in training."

This. I like how it doesn't have a hard plastic chest strap. Barely notice I'm wearing it.

If I wouldn't die from malnutrition - I would live off nothing but PB&J. From kindergarten to the end of university, that's ALL I ate for lunch.

Mississauga! Always looking for local friends!

Make my butt look fabulous, but really expensive. However I've been wearing the same pair for about 6 years... (I put them through the washer and the dryer which is apparently is bad)

For all the jobs I've had, qualifications and experience have been great, but my references have sealed the deal. Co-workers, clients, management...they all help a ton.

My addiction is (was) smoking. I have quit, (6 months ago) however I recognize that the urge to smoke will probably never disappear. I don't see an addiction to cigarettes something to see a doctor over. Does an addiction to cigarettes really constitute the term disease? The urge to smoke came in 2 forms, physical…

I respectfully object. I have addictions, a disorder and a disease. My issues with addiction are different from my anxiety disorder which is different from my psoriasis. Addiction does do significant damage both physically and mentally, and can cause diseases and other disorders, however to me it is a disorder.
