Yup got that from you first remark, 'preciate the elaboration.

Nope. Your opinion though, I can respect that.

not sure what necro threads are, but I can't post my own and it was something I was curious about and only saw 1 response so I was looking for additional thoughts. Do you have input on the article or nah?
-
I know this is an old thread, but can't open my own as you can see I'm behind bars. I've always wondered if, as the article the OP provided above states, "it takes about 20 minutes for our brains to register that we’re full. If we eat fast, we can continue eating past the point where we’re full." I've never took the time…

Yeah limiting yourself is not easy, very hard, if you don't dedicate yourself to moderation, and takes a lot of determination, but once you get that all of that under control, and start weaning yourself from the junk, you will stop craving as bad. There comes a point where you have to say enough is enough.

Haven't ate many of these, I tried one called muscle brownie I think and it was tasty, high in protien but I don't remember all of the other nutrition facts, I do recall it being high in calories too though.

17 weeks 6 days here, 3rd pregnancy. I was never conscious of my weight with the other pregnancies but I'm hoping for a healthy weight gain this go around. I have my calorie goal set at 2240 I think and to gain .5 lbs a week rather than the suggested 1 lb, but I tend to go over a bit so I'll probably be closer to the 1 lb.…

Oatmeal and fruit for breakfast is pretty simple to make

Just something to start with if OP wants to try.

sometime I did kids meals...
-
Skip the fries, go without the bun, hold the mayo, salads, grilled chicken rather than crispy, that's all I can think of right now, these are small changes to help.
-
Same here, but the times I don't buy the snacks my kids and husband are like...where's the cookies, where's the fruit roll ups? Lol so now I just have to control myself, it's really hard though. That's when I usually sabotage my remaining calories...

I actually heard strength training is the best for you, helps you lose fat and maintain muscle, something like that, from personal experience it worked best for me.

I know this discussion is kind of old but for me, it was when I bought a pair of size 14 shorts to wear, without trying them on. Just looking at them I just knew it would fit cause they looked huge, but when I got home to put it on for my little brothers waterslide bday party I couldn't even get them past my thighs. I was…

Whoa that's some hard moves, takes some skill. I just saw a post on Pinterest about everyone of all body types are capable of doing yoga.

Wow, congrats!!! That's a true accomplishment. I don't think I would have been as successful if it wasn't for tracking on MFP, now I just need to try and stay as consistent as you have.

I once spent the day at the mall with my kids and walking around the mall the way i did must have burned a lot of calories. I was there for hours and most of it was spent walking and looking around, so that was a pretty easy very low impact day, but nonetheless it was something

You are so amused by following me and reporting threads...

Just keep doing what yall are doing. Its true alot of people are stuck on the old myths about women who are pregnant and exercising. I think that its good she is staying fit and healthy, people are going to judge regardless. As long as she is listening to her body yall keep it up, just ignore the negative (trust me at this…

Yes anytime is a good time, me personally I like to knock it out in the morning, then I do more during idle times throughout the day.
-
I hate to reopen this topic due to all the negativity I recieved, but if it helps the OP then that's all that matters. I forgot about Spirulina, when I was taking supplements this was one that was suggested to me. Research and decide on your own :)

Very true. My body tends to gain weight mostly in my butt and thighs so the higher side of a "good" weight for our height works for me.

I'm 5'6 and currently 156 to 160 due to being 17 weeks pregnant for the 3rd time (not sure on my exact weight, I don't own a scale and my next weigh in at docs us Thursday but 3.5 weeks ago I was 154), but prior to that my original goal weight was 153 then 153 came and gone and I reached 145. Personally I felt too slim at…

3 weeks isn't that long yet, give yourself time but if you log accurately and truthfully you can't go wrong.
