  • I just have two questions: 1)Does he have a favorite binky? 2)Has he been on a playdate yet? Oh man...this is disturbing, but had me laughing my *kitten* off. Thanks for sharing.
  • You look absolutely amazing and should be very proud of yourself! You are an inspiration to others! Congrats on your success thus far!
  • You look absolutely amazing! ...and I'm sure you feel it too! You provide inspiration for many other MFPers. Congrats on all your success thus far!

  • You should be so proud of yourself! You look amazing and I'm sure you FEEL amazing....which is probably the best part of it all. Congrats and kudos to you for all your hard work!
  • I have a Polar FT7 which I bought over the Summer. I love it and always wear it when exercising. It cost me around $100, but I do not in the least bit regret spending the money. If you can afford one, you should definitely go for it!
  • Wow, you look fabulous!!! Your hard work has definitely paid off -congrats!!!
  • This is hilarious! Thanks for sharing! My mom just made leche flan yesterday which I could not stop eating of course.
  • Polar HRMs are very popular with users on here. I have a Polar FT7 which I love and is honestly, one of the best purchases I have ever made -never thought I'd say that! I bought it for $93 on sale. I usually see it range between $87 to $107, depending on where you look. It has the chest strap, is waterproof, stores…
  • First of all, congrats on losing the weight! As others have mentioned doing, I've donated a ton of clothes that have gotten way too big. There comes a point when you can't really do anything to make it look good and it just looks ridiculous and ill-fitting. As far as tailoring, you may find that it requires way too much…
  • I just deal with wearing my clothes until something just looks completely ridiculous and too big for me. I figure that a little loose is not so bad -but if it's totally falling off your body then it's best to let it go. I have already donated a lot of clothing as I've been losing weight. And, I've only purchased clothes on…
  • Wow, you look amazing!! Inspiring to us all -you should be very proud of yourself!
  • You look awesome! Keep up the great work!!
  • Please do not be discouraged. You have lost so much weight already and that is something to be proud of. The BMI scale is a helpful guideline, but does not completely define you or anyone else. Don't give that word so much power. Just keep moving forward with what you have been doing because it is working. Keep up the…
  • Love my Polar FT7!! It's around $100 depending on where you go. I would honestly say that it was one of the best purchases I have ever made. Happy HRM hunting!
  • Although I like ground beef, I am more of a ground turkey fan. That being said, using either of the two, we like to make Mexican Picadillo -there are a lot of recipes you can find on the internet. You can eat it in a taco shell, tortilla, with rice..or we like to stuff the mixture in green and red bell peppers, put a…
  • Welcome! This is a great place for new beginnings. MFP is such a useful site in helping you achieve your goals and the community is extremely supportive. I credit this site and all my wonderful pals on here with really pushing me to better myself. I'm positive that you will love it here too! So, go ahead and make some…
  • I agree with other posters. Maybe this feeling of 'something missing' is just telling you that you need to try something new. Without realizing, perhaps you've gotten burnt out of running and it isn't delivering that 'high' that it once was doing. I wouldn't worry about it. Take a break and then give it a go later and see…
  • I'm bumping this, Steve. It's another great post that I think serves as a dose of reality for people who need it and a nice reminder for the rest!
  • It's a workout that combines different Latin dance moves. A lot of gyms offer Zumba classes and there are a few DVDs out there as well. Many people like it because they find the dancing to be fun rather than typical aerobic exercises.

  • I agree with everyone else. I always go with the number that my HRM gives me. There is always a margin of error with everything, but I would trust the device that stores my specific measurements, is strapped to my chest, and monitors my constant heart rate over the others.
  • Most public libraries carry exercise DVDs. And, if your family already has access to On Demand on your pay tv provider, there's a ton of free workout videos on it -usually including Jillian Michaels, Biggest Loser and a bunch of others.
  • Polar FT7 all the way! Love mine! It meets all your requirements and importantly, you don't have to send it away to have the battery changed. However, if your limit is $150 then you may be able to go even higher on the Polar ladder ...though I'm not sure what's out there. Happy hunting!!
  • You look phenomenal! Thanks for sharing such a personal and inspiring story -you have really helped get me even more motivated to work off this weight. Congrats on all your success!!
  • Chi-town!!! ...Chicago, IL if you couldn't figure that out.
  • Congrats on shedding the weight! You look awesome!
  • I have a Polar FT7 (don't know how similar it is) and it's pretty easy to use. The person who had it before you probably deleted all of their workout info before sending it to you. If they haven't, you can do that yourself. You just have to set up the time and your own user info (age, height, weight). Just remember to wet…
  • I love my treadmill and I bought it off of a friend I made on a different site. I didn't realize how I scored until I did a little research and checked out their website: smoothfitness.com. Anyway, it was only a couple of years old and she sold it to me for less than half the price! It's an excellent machine, very sturdy…
