twizzlers and lemonheads....my own stash

Great reminder, love it! I've had to restart stronglifts twice due to major illness and tend to avoid the "boy" section until I work back up to the big plates at home. Gonna hold my head up high and just go in and bench 80lbs next week!

Thanks for the info! Looks like there are a few p90x groups we could join!

Chocolate, Pizza and wine.......count me out!

I travel Tue - Thur most weeks. I pack Oatmeal, power bars, protein powder and pick up fruit and yogurt at the airport and keep it in my office or hotel fridge. I tend to eat the same meals from local restaurants and airport restaurants - usually some form of a salad with grilled chicken or grilled salmon. Sometimes I jog…

49, 5'1" SW 130 CW 113 GW 108-110 - depending on how my clothes fit. I mostly lift (heavy for my size) and run. Training for a min tri so adding swim and cycle to the mix for now. I eat between 1300 - 1800 depending on hunger and workout. I eat a lot of fresh fruits and veggies, love my pizza, desserts and wine.

1200 calories is NOT enough. I'm 5'1" and got down from 130 to 115 by eating 1600-1800 calories, running and lifting.

Yes! It's a great, simple program. I started with low weights or empty bar and worked up. Sometimes I take a 1-2 week break and then lower weights and focus on form. This program definately changed my body.

Easing back in at 50!

I think reading the NROLFW booked really helped me and I loved the program but it started taking 90 minutes or more and I just dont have that time. Also the limited equipment needed for stronglifts is a plus.

Walmart carries some Danskin brand workout tops that have an ipod pocket near the top right of the chest.

I'm back! Is it too late to get in for 50 in June?

Nike and Under Armour both have good womens compression shorts. They are very different from boxers and work great for me.

Because it reinforces that I can do ANYTHING!

Lot's of coffee and water, some diet dew and a glass of wine almost everynight. About 18 - 20 glasses of liquid, yikes!

I'm about 19.5...Mostly through heavy lifting and some running for fun. Right now I'm training for a sprint tri so I stopped lifting for a month and really miss it.

above BMR, below TDEE = lose weight, stay healthy!
-
So inspiring! Congratulations on your success and your enjoyment of all things!

Sometimes I think that if we're not walking or running then the BMF cant really measure out METS accurately. Whenever I get to 6+ on the eliptical or stationary bike it barely registers and it doesnt register much on my heavy lifting days. Still it's directionally correct and I'd rather it underestimate than overestimate.

I'm 5 ft 1 and pushing 50 so dont eat quite as much as some of you but usually between 1500 and 2000 a day. I workout most days, eat relatively healthy and enjoy my pizza and donuts. Life's too short to deprive ourselves.

Using BMF Core - deep sleep is .9 and conference call where I'm just listening is same .9.

Once you get your dosage right then it should be a nonissue for weightloss. I recently hadto decrease my dosage due to weightloss success. You can do it!!

I think the book is full of great information and enjoyed Stage 1, though I work out in my basemanet and think it would be complicated in a gym - it's intimidating enough for some women to even visit the weightlifting area and I dont see being able to follow the program without bringing the book with you. Stage 2 or 3…

http://www.hundredpushups.com Check out this site or their app...I'm up to 87 total in 5 sets!

I put my steel cut oats and whatever liquid in a container in the fridge overnight. 45 seconds in the microwave is all it needs in the morning and it's much better and a little quicker than instant.

Well done!

This might be silly for everyday but on my last business trip I wanted to run in the snow but wasnt prepared with the right attire. I wore normal tights under sweat pants and stayed warm for my 23 degree run.

Sounds like OP has a wedgie today

Im thinking about the CRB run too. Last year was my first and it was fun! I mapped out an overlapping training plan for both events and it seems doable!!

It's not just you.......I've seen similar comments on the boards, specifically regarding deadlifts. Maybe it's just the high we feel from lifting, who knows, but it's awesome.
