I'm at 23 my goal is 35. I was doing 30 push up but then I fell of track with taking the test for a week and I'm back down to 23. Any advice on how to get better. Breathing techniques, trick, tips?

Squeeze your butt and focus on holding everything in your core tight when you're doing them. And speed is your friend!0

This routine may help.

Check out this site or their app...I'm up to 87 total in 5 sets!0 -
I can do 25 regular push-ups without stopping. A few months ago, I could only do 5 pushups from my knees, so I'm pretty excited about my progress. I try to get 1 more rep every workout.0

I've been following this for about 6 weeks...I'm still doing modified (knee) pushups, but on the first day I could barely manage 15 in total...on Saturday I did 196  Not bad for 6 weeks!0 -

107 in a single set was my record last Saturday. It's the most I've ever done at any point in my life.
When I was in high school, I remember doing 82.
One year ago, when I was much heavier, I could barely do 10.
Use principles of German Volume Training: if you can do 30, do sets of 15 -- lots of sets of 15. Before long, your max reps will start increasing.
Rhythmic breathing is helpful. I inhale as I lower myself and exhale as I raise my body.0 -
I can do like 5 real push ups, and like 30 little girl push ups.
Sometimes I feel like I need to show off and be impressive for my boyfriend and I'll do like 6 real ones.
He's not impressed.0 -
A trainer at my health club had me a do a "modified" version of this...Check it out.

I can do 10 real push-ups very very slowly and probably about 20 girl push-ups. Hey does anyone know if it's bad to do push-ups every day? How about sit-ups?0

I had shoulder surgery 2 years ago and it still is so weak. I don't have full range of motion, so it makes it hard to strengthen it alot, too.0 -
