switch to bourbon.

maybe drink some caffeine to get you going

I would if I was at a plateau but not otherwise. I also have my MFP set to lose 1 lb a week so I am not at a huge calorie deficit when I do work out and don't eat them back. There are many threads on this and most people say you should eat them back.

Everything that I have read about cellulite is that it is genetic. There are very thin people with cellulite. http://www.livestrong.com/article/176747-what-are-the-causes-of-severe-cellulite-in-thin-people/

I guess it would be the best for me to time it on a track. Thanks for all the feedback!

I found that I had to eat more on p90x or I wouldn't see any weight loss as well. I changed my calories to only losing 1 lb a week and that has helped.

I stopped going to the gym because half the people are there to put on a show. I am happy to be home and do my beachbody dvd's by myself without worrying about some guy trying to show off how he can bench 1,000 lbs or watch some gal be on the elliptical for 3 hours. I think I spent 250 or so on all of the dvd's I bought…

Think about what you do to your body. You tell it, for however long the cleanse is, "you get no food!" What do you think it is going to do when it gets food again? Store all of it. And it will then take you time to get it to realize it is ok to burn some of the food and not keep it all.

Insanity, in and of itself, is going to help you with your 5k as it is building cardio endurance. You might try to run 1 long run a week on Thursday (which for me was the recovery day). I completed insanity but never tried running while doing it. I am now doing a P90x/Insanity hybrid and am running on the non cardio days.…

I'm planning on doing my first 5k in May also, so I'm with ya! Couch to 5k is a 9 week interval training program to help someone who has never jogged or ran 5k before to work up to that distance. I have used it before and think it is great.

I had pizza for breakfast this morning. I don't think it is a big deal as I am a believer in calories in/calories out. Whenever I try to "diet" and not eat the food I want because it might have a high fat or carb content I fail. When I eat what I want in moderation, while eating within my MFP calorie goal, I am much more…

what I have read is that if you lose it at a reasonable pace and stay very hydrated it will tighten up as you go.

Glad to see this here. I picked up about 15 lbs in the holiday season and am getting back after it. I started p90x/insanity hybrid on the 2nd. I also recently adjusted my mfp to 1 lb a week because at 2lbs a week it was just not enough food for these exercises. Bringing it!

Loads of fun. I am currently the stay at home dad due to this crappy economy. I'll keep an eye out. I didn't want to spend a ton, but maybe it is something I will use long term.

They wrap the resistance bands around the pull up bars and pull-down versus a standard pull-up. One of the nice things about the program is that there are always 3 or so people on the video doing it and they vary how they do it so you can figure out what works for you. Here's a video I found with the basic idea.…

I gave up on soda when I was doing a cleanse. I had the 3 days of caffeine withdraws and have moved on from there. Whatever is or isn't in it, it doesn't ever really satisfy my thirst and I was drinking up to a 6 pack of coke zero a day. I now drink 99% water with a little bit of green tea thrown in for variety. To each…

First off, 50 is not old. P90x can be done using resistance bands as opposed to weights for everything (including the pull ups). It is a very challenging program but if you are already fit then you should be able to do it. Do your best and forget the rest! It also has very limited cardio (only 2 days a week).

I lost 45 lbs doing Lindora (low carb) while drinking diet coke. I recently gave up soda altogether, so we'll see how it goes.

My 2 year olds are 32 and 35 lbs, so I will be pushing a bit of weight, but I figured that it would be a little extra workout. I think I am not going to have to run with them too often, so I'll just have to deal with it.

wow! what are you doing to her?

Power 90 was the program before p90x (power 90 x).

yeah, that's just way to much for me. I guess I'll give it a try with my regular one. I don't do any trail running, just streets, so maybe it won't be too bad.

Sushi is a meal I don't even try to count because there are so many variables for the places I eat sushi. If you are trying to stay low then I agree with the poster above me and don't eat rolls.

my weight is quick to go up, but slow to go down. I am going to a Christmas party tonight so I went ahead and weighed this morning because I know just a few drinks and a little non-healthy food and I will pick up 3 lbs on tomorrow's scale. On the flip side, it takes 3 days or so of eating back to normal that the quick…

Doing awesome!

What I did, I printed a picture of me at my heaviest and hung it on my bathroom mirror. I look at it every morning and it reminds me of where I was. I also make sure I think about everything I eat and log it here, I found that when I didn't pay attention to what I was eating I always over ate. Why did you want to lose…

Jack and coke zero or straight gentleman jack has been my alcoholic beverage of choice.

I just started today, skim milk in a shaker cup. I was so impressed by how thick and filling it was. I found this recipe: 1 packet/scoop chocolate shakeology 2T sugar/fat free butterscotch pudding 2T PB2 (or peanut butter) 4-6oz water 2oz milk Ice to taste on the team beachbody site, supposed to taste like butterfinger.

The first step in getting healthy is something like getting on this site. You can work on your diet, and there are programs out there (Beachbody has a 10 minute a day program) that you can do quickly to help add in exercise. You can also google "office workout" for some ideas you can do while you are at work. Believe in…
