Do you even lift?
-
Just wanted to update this. Been doing a lot of long ready runs for the past few weeks and today tried to run a mile for time. I cut about 20 seconds off my previous best one mile time, do it appears to be working. Thanks again!
-
I am doing the three lifting days along with my running 4-5 days a week. We'll see how it goes. Good luck!
-
Well if you like hot stuff, it kind of masks the taste of the eggs. Could also add some cheese for a low carb additional cover up taste.
-
So you are wanting to basically make 1 week last 2 weeks? It will give you good cardio for sure, but as the above poster indicated; you obviously are not going to get the same results as quick. Insanity was the first home program that I never skipped a day on and I had great results.
-
Good one! As an aside. How much time between my run and beginning the strides? On Friday when I finished up I took like 5 minutes and then did the strides. Is that ok?
-
Sounds great, did this today. Long slow run at my "Easy Run" pace. Followed by strides. Thanks for the help.
-
Wow, that's a pretty sweet tool. So I plugged in my most recent 5k times and it gave me a bunch of numbers for what the pace should be for each thing. My question is how should my week breakdown? There are "endurance runs," (with 3 options)" stamina workouts," (with 3 options) "speed workouts," and "sprint workouts.
-
Ok, got it! I'll just keep running. Worry about the speed after a few months of adding on some miles. So if I am looking to run a 7 minute pace 3-5 mile run what kind of eventual mileage should I be running? 10 miles a day on my slow pace days? And if 8 is pushing it for me, should I be shooting for 9 minute miles on these…
-
This is pushing it for me. I'll try to slow it down 3 of the 5 days and doing shorter faster runs 2 days a week. Does this sound like a good way to go about it?
-
did you pick up the pace or the distance? change the surface that you were running on? shoes?
-
Have you never ever felt nothing after doing it? I usually only felt sore the first week of a new exercise.
-
the more you spin, the less overweight you will be
-
I think this is the correct answer. You can eat crap all you want, but you will likely not be giving yourself the needed vitamins and minerals to keep yourself healthy. Also, think about how much "clean" food you can eat vs "processed foods. You can eat a ton of greens and lean protein and not have a ton of calories,…

I met Eric Stonestreet (Cam from Modern Family) this last weekend at a NASCAR race. Met several of the drivers there too. Met Adam Levine (Maroon 5) at several Laker games on the way out. Met Adam Duritz (Counting Crows) at a music festival a few years back.
-
So how's it going for you? I have been struggling to get back to eating right so I decided since I already had the book I would give it a month to get a jump start and actually do the transition back to eating, versus going gung ho. Protein day #1 today, haven't killed anyone yet!
-
Just make sure you don't over estimate the amount of calories you need to eat back, could throw yourself off.
-
While I am not currently doing it, I did do it and had great results. Only problem was transitioning back to normal eating because I couldn't stay so low on carbs for ever. Good luck!
-
I started last week!

Better than the opposite. When I used to have a gym membership there were guys who would spend 20-30 minutes sitting naked in the locker-room. I'm glad you are proud sir, but no one wants to see that.
-
I was building my sandwich and looking at the serving size grams and thinking it was the calories. I was like, my footlong is only 590 calories, where did you get over 1,000 from. Then I re-read it and figured it out.
-
If P90x is too easy, you aren't lifting enough. These programs are designed for you to work at your maximum capacity and if it is too easy for you then you aren't.
-
Awesome results!
-
If I allow myself to have a little bit of something, I am less likely to over indulge later. When I am restricting myself to severely is when I find myself eating a whole box of cookies because I have said eff it!
-
I think that you are setting yourself up to fail here. Restricting yourself so much can lead to over indulging when you don't see the results you want. Starve yourself and then don't lose weight and you will be back to eating whatever got you where you are in the first place. This is not a sprint, it is a marathon that…

I don't think anyone can reliably tell you that. Your HR would tell you better than anyone here can. Your perceived level of exertion is not the same as anyone else's.

Flour Tortilla 290 cal Pinto Beans 120 cal Steak 190 cal Cheese 100 cal 700 calories. Although it is a lot, you also get a huge burrito for that. Have it in a bowl instead of a tortilla and you are looking at 410 calories.
-
Yup! Low fat was 80's science (although I am sure someone will jump on here and say the opposite). Calories in versus calories out.
-
Also the scale doesn't always tell you everything. Sometimes you lose inches but not lbs.
