  • You lost 15 years too! I would love any information you can share about your process.
  • 5'5" My goal weight is 160. Currently a little over 200 pounds and tend to lose slowly, so seeing that number would be exciting.
  • You are my goal weight. :) You look fantastic! This inspires me to stick with it. 35 pounds to go!
  • Looks like you lost 10-15 years, too! :)
  • I'm 5' 5". My start weight was 206 (although I'm sure I went a couple pounds heavier -- just stopped weighing). As of today, I'm 168. So I'm getting pretty close to the 40 lb mark. As for my story, I've taken almost a year to lose the 40 pounds. I didn't really start trying until about 5 months in. Before that, I was…
  • I am SO excited to try this. Thank you so much for the thorough instructions. I have changed MFP's goal (1500) to the new calculation (2168) and am looking forward to not spending my evenings dreadfully hungry and daydreaming about desserts. :)
  • Wow. Thank you so much for posting! This is pretty much me and SUPER motivating. You look so much younger!
  • Sorry to be so absent this week - - it's been BUSY! I am down one pound even to 169.4. Yay! I came up a little short of my October goal of 169, but am super happy just to see the 160s. Looking forward to never seeing 170 again! :)
  • Congrats on this week's losses. Jess, some weeks are like that. Grr. You'll get the scale back next week. :) We had my son's 7th birthday party today. It was chaotic & exhausting - - such a busy weekend. I went over calories today, but not as bad as it could have been. Back at it tomorrow. I'm treating myself to a beer…
  • Tosha, I think it's wise of you to do what you've gotta do to make your life run smoothly. I, too, have those perfectionist tendencies and they can lead to depression when too many things seem imperfect. It's surprising how quickly wanting to get in shape can lead to a 24 hour a day obsession...and that is indeed draining.…
  • I'm here. Just haven't been saying much since I've had a couple REALLY bad days in a row. I need to get it back together tomorrow and get back to pre-planning my food since that was working. Congrats on your weigh in, Tara. :)
  • Tara, you're doing awesome. I know a gain has to be incredibly frustrating for you, but you've gotten your body to such an amazing point that it must be difficult to convince it to go further. Keep up the good work and I'll keep my fingers crossed that the scale rewards you. I'm a little bummed with my weigh in. I was…
  • Hello? Hello? Hello? Where are you all? ;) Hope everyone has a happy weigh in tomorrow. I have my fingers crossed. I felt like I did great this week - - but my sodium is REALLY high today, so I'm wondering if that will negatively affect my number.…
  • Yeah, moderation is a struggle. It takes a lot of control to not slip back into the bad habits. I did two pieces of pizza today and had a cookie instead of the pie (since it was about half the calories). I was only 20 cals under my goal for the day (and ate all my exercise calories), so to not have gone over is still a…
  • Thank you, Tara! I really appreciate the way you said that. I'm learning that it's on me 100% to make my life healthier & happier...and that I'm capable of doing it! Thankfully, my emotions seem to be making a shift to the more positive and I'm hoping all of my tough decisions this week will add up to a happy dance on the…
  • Made cookies today with the boys and only ate one. Success! Hope you're all having wonderful days! )))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) This weeks challenge: Under sodium 6/7 days this week Workout at least 20…
  • Thanks to everyone for the sodium feedback. I do tend to add salt when cooking and am working on that. I'm also learning that my fast mixes & sauces are LOADED with the stuff. All very eye-opening. I paid close attention to what I could change today and the numbers are looking better. Jess, we all have rough days. What's…
  • Thank you, Tara! Wow, I didn't realize what a hard time I'd have with sodium. I never really watched it before. I do really well all day, but it seems like everything I make for dinner is loaded with the stuff. Definitely learning something this week.…

  • Thank you, Jess! I'll join this week's challenge. I'm a big fan of water goals.
  • Today's weigh in = 172.6 - down exactly one pound I'm pretty excited, though, since my eating this week was subpar. Thankfully, I squeezed in A LOT of walking....although I didn't know how to log it since it was just kind of moseying around town. Measurements have no significant change. I haven't set this week's goals yet…
  • Hello, gals! The last few days have been AWFUL. I went away with my mom & family and didn't take the time to do restaurant research and turns out I made VERY bad choices. Ugh. Back at it today - - hoping to keep a very tight leash on calories for the next few days. I'd hate to have a big gain this week after a good weigh…
  • Chex Mix Homemade Mac n Cheese Pizza
  • I am SUPER happy with this week's weigh in. I think all of the water drinking and saying no to treats is starting to pay off. My husband rewarded me with a Starbucks coffee this morning - - and got my lecture about how much sugar & calories were in it. I'll drink it since I know he really got it intending to reward me. But…
  • Wow shell, 4 lbs is incredible! Good work. tj, I agree with Tara. Moving in the right direction is most important. Where are you going for vacation? Tara, I'm thinking about starting an eating plan that allows some cheat meals, but I worry that they'll turn into binges every time, so I haven't embraced the program yet.…
  • Thanks for the support, Tara. I packed some healthy snacks and a jug of water. Time to hit the road. See you all tomorrow!
  • Good for you! You sure are on your way!!!
  • Damn. You look incredible! Big congrats to you & thank you for the inspiration. :)
  • I have a funeral tomorrow. I pulled out my size 14 black dress pants that I used to have to suck in for (and always worried about bursting out of) and they're HANGING OFF ME. Awesome. That was way better than anything the scale could tell me. :)
