  • Wow, that sounds like an excellent nutritionist! Hope you keep seeing such wonderful results. This week's been okay for me - - doing well with water and so-so with food. Will be on the road tomorrow for a funeral 3 hours away followed by a luncheon. I'm already giving myself the "you must behave" lecture. Luckily, I get…
  • Glad to hear that you all have received such nice support as far as your diaries. Shortly after I joined here, I watched a pretty nasty conversation go down on someone's diary and I think that scared me off. I think I'll end up opening mine up sometime this week. My numbers: CW: 176.2 (down 2 lbs) GW: 140 September GW: 174…
  • This is so fun! :) I've lost a tire.
  • Hello, everyone! Hope you're having a great week so far. I'm seeing so many excellent food diaries...and thinking about making mine public in the next couple weeks. Do you feel like you stay on track better knowing that others will see your diary? I think it looks like a great way for getting feedback. I'm just not great…
  • I'm going to pass on the challenge for this week...just because my brain is already a bit overwhelmed with the changes I'm working on. Thanks for the invite, though. Hopefully I'll get in on the next one. :)
  • Thank you, everyone. I know there are excuses everywhere and all the time. Not trying to excuse my poor eating habits - - just trying to recognize what it is in my life that triggers the behavior so that hopefully, I can be watching for it and work out other ways to deal with it. Silvery, do you have an injury that is…
  • :) I'm nowhere near a plateau yet. Can't wait to be where you are! My issue is more that I can't seem to get a handle on my eating again. I did so well for a decent stretch and then the old emotional overload started up again. My son had surgery, we got bad medical news, I got the good old crazy hormones flowing, and we…
  • Zig zagging sounds like an interesting strategy. I remember reading that your body does adjust to the calories that it is used to getting, so that's a pretty smart way to fool it.
  • Wow. 2.6 is a great weight loss (especially when you have so little to lose!). What is zig zagging? This is the first I've read of that. Water went better yesterday. I didn't get in my 3L, but did finish 2. Thanks for the tip to surround my meals with it - - that certainly helped. And I agree - stupid pizza. I'm actually…
  • It's been hit and miss with me so far. I've done well with some kind of workout each day and with tracking my calories (although I haven't stayed under all days). I'm still struggling with sugar, which is so hard for me since we have desserts in the house for the kids and I find myself sneaking a little here and there.…
  • Thank you, Tara! I started out great on MFP, but have lost some motivaiton & started slacking, so I'm glad to have found this group.:)
  • This will be my first group. Do we just use this thread to share progress, concerns, etc? My info: CW: 178.5 GW: 140 September GW: 174 Waist: 37 Hips: 42.25 Right Thigh: 26.25 Left Thigh: 25.75 Right Arm: 13.25 Left Arm: 13 The plan: track food daily, work on cutting out sugar, cardio every day (either P90 or walking)…
  • Dang! You look at least 15 years younger to me. Huge change between the first and last photos. Congrats to you!
  • I looked back to a time in my life when I felt comfortable with my body, healthy, and full of energy. I found photos from that time and liked the way I looked - - not flabby, but not hungry. I made sure that the weight was a "healthy" BMI and chose that as my goal weight.
  • I haven't lost enough weight yet to have this "problem", but I certainly plan on donating my clothes as they no longer fit. I want to say goodbye to being fat forever and I think that I'm the type of person who will let myself slip if I know I could always throw on my big clothes. Congrats to you! It must be a great…
  • I am amazed by how different your before & afters are. You look healthier, younger, & happier. Your hard work definitely shows (and inspires someone like me who has similar goals). Thanks for sharing!
  • GAH! You are SUPER cute! (love your clothes) Congrats! 75lbs is a huge accomplishment.
  • You're shrinking! :) Welcome to the 100s. 20 lbs lost is definitely showing up - - you even look like you're carrying yourself better.
  • I don't have any before & afters to share yet since I'm at the beginning of my weight loss, but wanted to thank all of you for sharing your photos - - so inspirational! And such a smart idea to put them all in one place!
  • Fantastic transformation! You are currently at my goal weight, so this really inspires me to keep moving in that direction. Great work!
  • I'm down 16 lbs from when I started taking pics and they don't look very different yet. Glad to see some people saying 20-30...gives me hope. :)
  • That bikini timeline is such an awesome illustration of your transformation. You look fantastic!
  • Thanks for the quick response. I just started P90X last week and haven't been following the nutrition. I feel the same as you - - totally overwhelmed by it. I'll be just counting calories, too. I read somewhere that you can't get results w/o doing the P90X meal phases, but I think you've proven that wrong. :)
  • Looking great! I can definitely see a difference - - especially in your side shot. I saw that you used P90X. Did you follow the nutrition plan or just the dvds?
  • Fantastic! I was just driving today thinking how nice it would be to spend next summer smaller than this summer, so I thought this was quite a fun before & after to come across. Congratulations to you & thanks for sharing!
  • WOW. Those are some really incredible results. I'm really impressed with your inches (especially under the waist - - my own trouble spot).
  • I'm 5'6". My ultimate goal is 145. I would be very happy to reach 155, though. I'm at 186 right now, so I have awhile to decide what will work best for me. :)
  • WOW. Yeah, this definitely motivates me. I am working my way from 206 down to 145-150 and seeing your photos reinvigorates me. It shows me that yes, 50 pounds is a DRASTIC difference. You look incredible! Congratulations to you. :)
  • That side shot is incredible! You look like you lost at least triple what you did. Great job sticking with it for 30 days! This makes me think I need to check out that program. ;)
  • Incredible! I cannot even tell you how motivating this is for me. My high weight was 206 and I'm halfway to 166. Seeing your transformation from pretty to STUNNING just makes me want to get there even more. Congratulations to you!!!
