posted my calories for my walk yesterday and yoga this morning. Going back for Zumba later to kick out another 600!

Hi ladies! I have a 17-month-old son. I've been married for 5 1/2 years, and essentially TTC the whole time except while pregnant. Recently, 3 friends of ours that have children my sons age have all gotten pregnant again. It irritates me a little when people ask when we will have another. We will have another whenever we…

For a birthday dinner, I'd say order whatever you want and just eat half. Take the rest home (and this is key) to eat the next day (not that night!!!). For cake, how about cupcakes? You can have 1 and send the leftovers home with someone else or take them to work to give away. Also, a fabulous icing can be made with Cool…

I used to feel like you. Really, most of my life. On June 21 I started going to fitness classes at the local Y. Amazingly, I love it! I especially enjoy Zumba, but also enjoy some of the other classes. I agree that it takes some getting used to before you feel good afterword. Don't be discouraged about not doing "enough to…

If you want to be nice to your neighbor, you could say something like, "I'll be back in 45 minutes; we can talk then."

Thanks for the replies. I went to SuperCook.com and put in my ingredients. Here's a url to the recipe I ended up using: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Lower-Fat-Fudge-Brownies/Detail.aspx They've got about 2 minutes left to bake!

have you tried hummus? You can make it yourself from chick peas aka garbanzo beans.

You're gorgeous! And while you may need to lose weight, there is so much more to who you are than your weight! Get started, but remember that you are awesome no matter what!

My 30th birthday is August 21. My goal is to get to 155 lbs by my 31st birthday and stay there.

That's awesome! I've gotten rid of 6 lbs myself!

I'm in! Jabba the Hutt is gonna lose ten percent of his body fat. Maybe we could keep going until we actually burn off all him!

Would it be possible to study while on an exercise bike? I know some people love to read while biking, but as a math major the bike is not a good place to study!

I'd say it depends entirely on your goals. For me, I am pretty strong and my blood pressure has always been good. I am trying to lose 94 more pounds. So for me, I'm more interested in calories burned. The more burned the better. And I have a family and other responsibilities so if I get it done quicker that's even better.…

What size package would that be? They *might* be available in a grocery store in my area.

Tuna! A can of tuna has 40 g of protein and only 120 calories. You can get Light Mayonnaise (I get Great Value at Wal-mart) that is 20 calories per tablespoon. I usually mix 2 tablespoons with a can of tuna to make sandwiches or put on a lettuce salad.

I'm about 5'7", and I like my height. Any shorter and I'd need a step stool to kiss my 6'4" husband!

I think everyone was so impressed with your success  that they missed the real question in your post! So, if I understand correctly, you know that you have lost weight. You don't know how much, so you can't put a weight in and have mfp calculate new caloric goals for you. Oh, and yes, it definitely works…

I think it is normal. I have been working out for about 8 weeks and have had only one period during that time. It was light at first, but lasted 10 days. I've heard that women who exercise a lot often have light, infrequent periods. This is great, unless you want to get pregnant. Or you want to not get pregnant. Or you…

Kala, you are doing awesome! What are you doing to lose it so quickly?
-
Good luck! Everyone says it's harder as you get older. And I'm about to turn 30 myself. Way tougher now than ten years ago!:ohwell: You'll read lots of posts about eating more here too. The nice thing is that mfp calculates it for you. Just try to meet your calorie goal.:flowerforyou:

I enjoyed Twilight as well. I generally think that young adult literature is good because it is simple enough for casual reading. Why not go to a bookstore and just ask for something in a genre you like? Sarah

Thanks Angelew! I knew it had to be there somewhere! Sarah

babysitting trades. Ideally, with a neighbor. Maybe every other day you watch their kids for an hour, and on the other days you go a run.

I'm no expert and I'm new. But how about making your diary viewable so that people can give you real advice? I think people are gonna say "eat your exercise calories," but more details might help.

I only gained 15 lbs or so. I was overweight and trying hard to lose weight when I found out I was pregnant. I made good food choices and lost most of the baby weight right away. BUT when I weened my son after one year, I gained about 25 pounds. Why? Because I didn't reduce my calorie intake as I stopped nursing and I was…

These are ideas that other people suggested to me: If she has never taken a bottle, I'd try pumping and give her just breastmilk from the bottle for awhile. Also, if someone else is available to babysit, the first bottle (whether breastmilk or formula) may go over better if you aren't available. Oh, and not that someone…

Do you usually drink coffee or tea with every meal??? Because if you don't that amount of caffeine could be a major shock to your system! I imagine the point of it is to increase your heart rate and metabolism, but I don't think that is safe.

Granted. But then you could say MILK (mom I'd like to kiss) or MILM (mom I'd like to marry).
