"brain fog" is a great way to describe it! lol. I just had 1/2 a whole wheat english muffin with cottage cheese and I feel so much better, the protein and complex carb seemed to be a good idea

Since I've started eating healthy, I avoid most sugars. I don't have sugar in my coffee/tea and I rarely have dessert. Honestly the only sugar I eat is from fruit. This past week I've been treating myself to a couple desserts and I have felt HORRIBLY sick afterwards; shaking, nausea, tired, cranky. For example this…

I would look at what you have left, if you know you're going to end up eating something at least make it balance out your diet a little ( ex. if you have some protein left over, go for that )

So what has everyone given up for lent? I like being creative in my choices each year, so this time I gave up elevators! uh oh :-O
-
I would count it as a dairy serving. It's not really high enough in protein to be considered a serving in my opinion

I went out for a run/walk today and did 3.5 miles in 38 min... it was a combination of running and walking over the time period with equal amounts of uphill , flat, and downhill... should I plug that into my exercise as an average of 11 min mile or should I be timing how long I walk and run individually? I'm not sure how…

I was just wondering what tweaks people have made in their diet! my changes this week switched from tall nonfat caramel macchiato > tall nonfat cappuccino (saved 80 cal, 16g carbs, 1g fat ) switched from market pantry skim milk > silk light plain ( saved 10 cal, 4g carb per cup! ) the silk light has more fat, but I'm…

If you have a theraband ( resistance band) lie on you back with your legs straight up in the air and the theraband tied around your knees or ankles. Then slowly separate your legs and bring them back together. http://www.ultimatewatermassage.com/rehab/rehab-thera-band-excerise.htm here's a great website I just found with…

I would just make sure to watch the sugar amounts on them... the low carb ones are great when you're too busy to make a meal!

I didn't realize until recently that you could just microwave regular oats! It takes about two minutes and is probably faster than boiling up water for instant oatmeal. Plus I think it's alot CHEAPER... I got a 2 lb box from albertsons for about 2.99 (31 servings!)

I'm also at college right now! Some of my meals breakfast- oatmeal ( I add chopped apple, blueberries, any fruit pretty much) egg white omelet ( we have an omelet stand in the caf and I just ask them for eggwhites) microwave scrambled egg whites toast with thinly spread peanut butter and sliced banana special K cereal with…

right now I aim for breakfast - 300 snack- 100 lunch-200 snack-200 dinner- 300 dessert- <200 It all depends on how many calories you're taking in, but I would aim to have the most calories at breakfast and dinner. For me, if I go over my dinner calories, I tend to have a smaller or no dessert. Hope this helps!
-
Yeah, I only have a very small amount of milk in my coffee, I just round it up to 1/4 cup, and I try to aim for 400 calories in breakfast to get me through the day :)
-
Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, and sometimes I easily go over my 400 calorie limit, could everyone share with me their favorite breakfast that is filling but healthy too? My favorite breakfast right now is 2 slices banana peanut butter toast 1 coffee with 1/4 cup skim Calories: 376 2 slices of toasted Mrs.…
