Trail mix or peanut butter are great ways to add calories when you're not particularly hungry. You get the good fats and some protein as well as needed minerals. You can't judge by one day. It does become a lifestyle change, but that lifestyle change takes about 6 months to really settle into. You are doing a great job!…

That was my original goal... to be fit by 40. Turned 40 in March of 2012 and had lost the majority of my weight by then. Now I'm wanting to lose the rest by 41... I'm with you guys!

Great advice! Thank you!!!

That's awesome! Contratulations!!! Now what??? LOL!

Yes. You are correct and I found it. Thank you. It is a calculation based on frequency, intensity and length of workouts. I qualify as "athletic" by a landslide, so much better info. Thank you!

Incredible transformation! Good for you!!!

That is AWESOME! I couldn't run 1/4 of a mile when I started and I'm regularly running 3-4 miles daily now! I'm 40 and have NEVER been a runner (unless someone was chasing me). You can build up to it and you're doing it the right way. Go you!!!!

Thank you. I have a fitbit and an HRM. I'm hoping I just have to have patience to get back to losing the numbers. I know the important thing is being healthier and feeling better, but that stupid number! LOL! I don't eat a ton of junk, but not doing the whole "clean eating" thing either because I don't feel that's…

Health assessment at work gave us preliminary cholesterol, glucose, etc. as well as blood pressure, bmi and Body fat %. I did it to just get enrolled in the "contest" for the drawing for prizes, but got numbers back that scared me. They weren't awful, but they were on their way. My daughter was 10 months old and while I…

I have a running mix that I listen to with only songs that I want to run to. When I'm getting tired, I pick a point in the distance and say "I will run to that and then I can walk for a minute". When I get there, sometimes I change to a further point and sometimes I let myself walk for the minute. I also have a rule that I…

I did the bamboo one and I think it helped. My body is the same as it was prior (well, now it's almost 30 lbs lighter than prior), but definitely was able to get back in my pants and no baby pooch.

Agree with both these statements. I'm 5'2, started at 191 and a snug size 14. Now I'm 161 (30 lbs) and a loose size 10, in pants. I was always XL shirts and bought size M yesterday for some new workout T-shirts! I carry most weight in my stomach, though. My face, arms, back and hips have fat as well, don't get me wrong,…

I started at 191 (but was 198 at my heaviest), am 5'2 and currently at 160. There are pics in my profile (not sure if it's public, but my profile pic has start and current (or 3 lbs ago). I have a goal of 140, also, and expect to be there around June/July. I believe that weight loss is a marathon, not a sprint. As long as…

My husband's aunt has RSD and did the Ketamine induced coma. She swore it was the worst time of her life. While it had helped, still not pain free. I'm so glad that you were able to get through this and take your life back! What a wonderful thing for you and your child to have a mommy who can run and play with her!

Not just the south... Pennsylvania, too.

I can't even put into words how amazing you look! I hope you know that now. My goodness... So fantastic! They were right... you did have a pretty face, but now you have the smokin' body to match! Congratulations! May you have all the happiness and joy of reaping your hard work! Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Calorie…

You really look fantastic! I hope you're proud of yourself and really realize what a huge accomplishment that is!

I'm 5'2, but I have a lot of muscle (under all this fat!). I would think 130-135 would be ideal. I set my goal as 140 and I can reassess when I get there. Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Weight Loss Tools

No such thing as a small victory! A victory is something to be proud of... including this one!!! Say goodbye to the #3!

Thank you, everyone! Honestly, I don't see as big a difference until I do a side by side like that. I think since we see ourselves everyday, it's easy to miss the transformation. If you haven't done a side by side pic, I highly recommend it. Feels really good.

So awesome! Can't wait to get there myself!

Fantastic job! Huge change and you worked hard and accomplished so much! Congratulations!

I think it's pretty typical in the first year, but should get better. My daughter is 10 months old and my husband is only now really feeling connected to her. Have you talked to him about it? Is there a reason that your child is not his priority? A lot of times the man is resentful because the woman spends more time…
