I tried shakeology and have even signed to be a coach and was disgusted by what it really was, which is pushing shakeology down the throad of people who signed up to exercise, not spend 130$ a month on a shake. Second read the rules of these board and you will find out that trying to recruit people for your so called…

a shakeology challenge is spam about getting you to buy a new set of insanity discs with a shake drink for 200$ and get you to join their facebook group and get them as their coaches so they get money of the stuff you buy. i.e. spam (long goal is to get you to buy shakeology every month at something like 120$ and they get…

also regarding biking to help running, biking at a higher cadence than you running pace cadence help you increasing the running cadence just by again knowing what it feels like.
-
the one best thing that helped me get faster at running is improving my form. I looked at POSE method and then I also try to run with a higher cadence (around 90 per minute per foot, though right now I'm more around 85/87) my goal is a 40 minute 10k by december and under 1h40 half marathon this winter. (training for a…

before even attempting the half, make sure you can run 10/12k without any issue by mid october, else, just cancel the half. Later you will be grateful. If you cannot run 10/12 by mid october and feel ok, you will get hurt on your half. I know it sucks that races are not refundable, but your long term health matters more…

I'd say to consider doing walk run on that day, anything between 4:1 to 10:1 also make sure to run at least that distance everyweek for your total mileage (21k total per week at least, a bit higer would be better). Last but not least, increase by at least 1k per week your long run to reach roughly 17/18k as your final long…

if you fast long enough you may even get defined bones ^_^`

really amazed to see tht peeps on MFP still have meaningful persons in their lives when I see all the dump him comments all the time. How do you guys know if he's not an amazing BF on all the other aspects? Not saying that he is right in any way, he is not, but the dump him comments are just stupid and borderless trolls…

losing seems to go well for me, I've lost 10 lbs in the past month and a half (since I started increasing volume/mileage) I would like to lose another 10 in the next 15 weeks, but as said I just need to be extra careful on my long days
-
I will add this daily I guess, I also read a lot about strengthening the heel with that, thanks for the reminder

yup stretching the soleus, I do in order upper calf, lower calf, hamstring, quads, hip flexors then shins and some extra groin if I feel like it. I do have a couple blisters on the achilles due to one day of running without socks, and it might actually be my issue, so hopefully as soon as it is fully healed I will be able…

merrell barefoot road gloves for two pairs (one with roughly 500k but they are good for at least triple that distance) one pair with 120 k and a new bare access 2 with slightly more cushioning that I use for my recovery runs but not long distance yet. (I,ve been running with merrell barefoot shoes for two years, so it's…

insanity is well known for achilles / knees injuries, lots and lots of plyometrics for users not ready. add a lot of daily stretching to recover once the pain is gone, in the mean time RICE protocol will help. ice every 3 hours, compress in between and elevate the feets when you sleep. That should help you get back on your…

having a goal helps, biggest motivation for me is a specific event to look forward to. Since I picked running, I sign for a race six month in the future and train for it, also I can check my stats progression and that helps me. when I was doing P90X I was writing down eveyrthing looking at reps/weight progression, giving…

the goal of insanity is to get you in shape, after you can tackle any sport you want knowing that you have the base for it. Also doing it once a year / twice a year or cycling through similar programs is an option as well. But to me doing these programs is to get ready for other things ;)

guys, you should elaborate on what your are using your HRM for, if you love it but only use it to sleep, who cares. not being rude, but it's a bit like saying to someone to buy a minivan without nowing if that person is single, has kids or anything... details, context...
-
well all the answer are missing one point, what do you want to use your HRM for? indoor workouts: polar running timex or garmin or suunto biking garmin or suunto triathlon garmin all brands have various features, garmin is good with their multiple sensors and when it comes to biking there is no competition to their edge…

never done a class per say, but I love the different yoga workout DVDs like the P90X one and some rodney yee as well. I probably would not feel comfortable in a room full of girls, but then again that's what I have when I do gymnastic so...

I'll add to what others said, but hamstring pain could be a sign of fascia tension in the calves or thigh. try to do some release using a tenis/lacrosse ball, or a rolling pin, google for myofascial release. the muscles stay contracted after an intense effort (your 7 mile) and the following week should have been a whole…

yep 40% only happens at the complete end of the spectrum when the body enters preservation mode. A good warning about a lowered metabolism usually (when not low carbing) is mood swings and lowered (a lot) energy

1. Eating 1500 calories of clean food will lose you more fat then eating 1500 calories of dirty foods. debatable, eating too much of something good is still eating too much (unless you state that everyone should eat 1500 per day, if so you should rewrite this question) 2. Cardio makes you lose weight. cardio makes you…

I dont go to fast foods much, but when I do, I get the real deal (five guys or something like that) not simili beef in simili bread with simili fries. I may actually do my own fast food at home if I am so inclined, usualy doing fries in the oven though, but grinding my own meat, that makes the best burgers. And yeah, I…

good job and nice recap ;)

did WW and lost about 35/40 then I switched to here when WW changed to points plus. the more I was reading about the food the more I wanted to decide what was good for me or not, and WW was not teaching me anything in the end. Good to get you started though. Also exercise was not really rewared back then

same boat here ;) feel free to add me as well

yup I had the same issue with total body workouts or while doing P90X if I was too low in sugar/food etc... try to check and rule out various factors (I myself bought a small blood pressure monitor for 30$ just to make sure)

to answer OP's question, non healthy food took decades of trying to find the cheapest possible way to get food on the market and people to buy it for maximum profit. All the crappy thing you cannot read on a label are to increase the taste of something that does not have any taste. keep it longer on the shelves to reduce…
