  • Soooo...... how is he holding that sword?
  • Today: 1/2 cup ice cubes 1/2 cup cold water 1 medium honeycrisp apple 1/2 cup baby carrots 1 clementine 1 tbs chia seeds It's a little bit more "carroty" than I would like, but drinkable. Maybe only 1/4 cup carrots next time.
  • I am very new to lifting in general, but I think it's a stability issue.
  • That is a big difference! You look great. I am also a shorty (5'1") and am down 7 pounds so far. I don't think it's noticeable yet to anyone else, but I already feel much better. If any other shorties want to help support each other, send me a friend request.

  • It sounds like you're going through a really rough time. Please seek some medical help for your feelings of depression. You don't have to live like that. If you hang in there, this will pass.

  • Clean Eating is my favorite. I also get Cooking Light, but am more likely to actually try the recipes in CE.
  • I will have to try this. I found a baked "fried" pickles recipe on pinterest that was just waiting for this to come along. :)
  • Thin-sliced honey crisp apple, LC light Swiss, and wheat thins. Yummy. Or leftover shredded rotisserie chicken, topped with one wedge Swiss (melt), mix with small amount of basil pesto and chopped tomato.
  • I work 2 days/week, but am a SAHM the rest of the time. My kids are 5 and 3. When I work out, it's generally after the kids have gone to bed. It works for me because I am a night owl, anyway. We are about to join the YMCA for the summer, and my plan is to tell the kids that they are going in the childcare room for the…
  • unsweetened vanilla almond milk, spinach, peach, banana, ground flax = yummy
  • I've been asked twice. It hurt, but it motivated me to be here. Don't let her derail your progress!
  • I started using it on Mother's Day, and my husband and kids let me sleep in and be lazy all day. So, yes, only 1469. I'm also 5'1" and only have 17 pounds to go to goal, so the starvation mode/weight loss/maintenance/goal range for me is pretty small.
  • I had to set up a "food plan" on the fitbit site and put in my weight loss goals. I am still tinkering with it, but this is working better now. (I still enter my food only on MFP, not on fitbit, but needed to set it up to figure in the deficit.)
  • I finally figured out how to set up my fitbit dashboard so that is figures in my deficit. Now it makes more sense.
  • You're right -- the numbers don't match up. Here is is with more options: http://hateitorloveit.tumblr.com/post/566297218/peetypassion-female-body-types

  • I'm a big fan of the Land's End "skirtini" suits. 2 pieces, but they meet instead of leaving an awkward gap. The skirt gives a little bit of extra coverage without being matronly. Some have underwire, depending on the style and size. The bottoms are called SwimMinis. There are also Mini SwimMinis, if you want to go…
  • BMR = ~1250 Goal = 1375 net (eating back my exercise calories, so more like 1500 - 1600 total consumed on those days) Inching UP my daily goal as I go, trying to find the max that I can eat and still lose 0.5 lb / week. I am content with the slower pace. (I am 5'1", started with 30 pounds to lose, and have 19 to go. I have…
  • Thanks, everybody! I found out that I like green smoothies. :) My favorite so far has vanilla Greek yogurt, spinach, blueberries, banana, and ground flax. I also discovered that I actually do enjoy a simple salad if it includes fruit. I like spinach, grilled chicken, & sliced grapes. Or spinach, tuna, grapes, and chopped…
  • I found a SkirtSports Breezer skort on ebay, NWT. It has pockets underneath, and even a place to run my headphones cord. I'll let you all know how I like it once it arrives.
  • Smoothie (Oikos vanilla yogurt, blueberries, spinach, banana)
  • You might want to check out a book called "400 Calorie Fix". It is full of suggestions for 400 calorie meals. It's based on a plan of 3 meals/day plus a couple of 100 calories snacks, but you can break up the meals so that you are eating more frequently and keep it to 1200 if you want.
  • I've had the app for months and, for some reason, never noticed this feature! Lol -- so thanks!
  • I am the same height and shooting for a 30 lb weight loss, so this is encouraging to me!

  • Great job! Mine is coming off at about 1/2 pound per week. It's frustrating, but progress is progress.
  • I am just sitting down to read that issue. :)
