Swimsuit advice needed

HI all,
I need to buy a new swimsuit. My size 16 suit is huge on me, but I am still a good 12/14 size with wider hips and bust. I need a one-piece preferably that is flattering but also cute and fun. I was wondering if any of you ladies have any suggestions (pics of you would be great also so I can see how the suit fits on a real body if you are comfortable sharing them).
Thanks in advance!

Here's what I suggest- Sounds like you want to camo your lower body, right? Find a suit that is a solid dark color on the bottom with a print and perhaps a ruffle or other eye-catching flourish at the neckline. This will draw the eye upwards and attention away from the bottom. May or may not like the idea of a "Swim Dress" which has a mini skirt attached at the bottom...0

My problem area is my lower belly and hips for sure. I'm looking for something flattering but also comfortable to swim in and cute.
I like the idea of a solid bottom and a print top quite a bit also.0 -

I'd check out these. Some of the suits have a little boning in them that holds everything in place.0 -
I'm a big fan of the Land's End "skirtini" suits. 2 pieces, but they meet instead of leaving an awkward gap. The skirt gives a little bit of extra coverage without being matronly. Some have underwire, depending on the style and size.
The bottoms are called SwimMinis. There are also Mini SwimMinis, if you want to go shorter:

I actually bought a new suit today, and this is exactly what I did I got a 2 piece, but it's a long top that overlaps the bottom.0 -
LOVE this one in the "cherry" color!
VS definitely makes quality stuff...I have a bikini from them and I love it. I've never tried a one-piece from them, but I'm tempted to see if they have the one linked above at the store.0 -
