The only thing I know is that if I eat more frequently, which is basically 4 small meals a day with a few healthy snacks, I'm less likely to binge. If I go too long without eating, I eat too hungry, my blood sugar crashes, and I'll eat whatever is handy.

A few days ago I realized I fit into some smaller jeans I haven't worn in a while.

Been there. This time it's different for me because I truly am trying to make it a lifestyle, not a diet. I'm thinking long term. I'm not sure how to say to not obsess other than talking to a therapist about it or something.

The first few weeks I tracked daily, but for a while now I've only been tracking during the week. I've found that I don't actually binge on the weekends, but it's nice to have a break from tracking. I probably eat about my maintenance calories on the weekend. If I'm craving something, I eat it. I don't see it as cheating.…

Everyone looks fantastic. Thanks for posting.

I use silken tofu instead of heavy cream.

Everyone looks great. My double chin has diminished a tad since the summer, but I've only lost 14 pounds.

I agree. Weighing food is key. Eyeballing it does not work, and many people lie to themselves that they are eating less. IMO, when I need to guess, I always overestimate.
-
Hm, so for me, no matter how fit I am, I have fairly muscular calves, so the boot thing is usually an issue.

Yep.

Get the dress tailored.

After going to a Hamam in Turkey and then frequenting Korean spas locally. I also workout at a university gym, and I find most of the girls are very shy and get changed in private. I change quickly and publicly facing my locker. If you're looking, you're gonna see a boob or maybe even 2. I think Americans are very hung up…

I use oat milk in my smoothies with frozen bananas, apple or peach butter, and some ground up nuts.

My doctor put the fear of disease in me.

Dress 2 and 4 are most flattering to your curves. You look great!
-
Sure, why not.

Anything for the obliques. I really like cable exercises for obliques.

While I agree that asking if someone has noticed something about your appearance puts them on the spot, I also think it's possible to ask that in an innocent way as a segue to tell them you lost weight/got your hair done/got botox. .. whatever. Not everyone has a direct communication style. People who love you and care…

This is interesting, and it obviously works. However. . . it's a sustainable practice within the culture. I wonder how this factors into work life.

I've been a vegetarian for 11 years, and I cook vegan at home, so I don't eat much dairy or eggs really. It's still easy to overeat and not eat the right things as a vegetarian or vegan. For me, the issue has always been a combination of overeating and not enough activity.

I live in Fishtown. It's alright. My mortgage is low, and I have a lot of ties to the community from living here so long, but there's been more crime lately which is not good. There's two new places with great veg options though.

Faith, 34, live in Philly, full-time mathematics student. I am in maintenance mode for now until the quarter ends at which time I plan to work out like a crazy woman. Being a full-time student is new for me, and I'm on my second cold right now from running myself ragged. I love the arc trainer and free weights and oblique…

I get nervous at social gatherings, but I try to plan in advance for them. I save up some calories, pace myself, try not to stand right next to the food. Don't be too hard on yourself, but remember it's not a free for all.
-
I can't remember honestly, it's been like 10 years.
-
I cook them first then freeze them.

I figured as much. Just so different compared with what I eat. Not judging or anything, was just curious. ;)
-
Just curious, how big is a serving? I don't eat meat, but when I make soup one cup is usually in the 100+ calorie range. 240 calories for a cup of soup seems high to me.

I'm not up for a challenge, but I'm looking into swimming at my school. I need to learn better form before I start counting laps.

jumprope resistance bands I just bought a kettlebell, some hand weights, and an ab roller yesterday, but I haven't used them yet. I also want a hula hoop.

That's great!
