Woah. Warriorqueen is a 10.

More protein! Try adding a can of tuna fish or some chickpeas in your spinach. Or eat some Greek yogurt with your cuties in the morning. Protein will help you feel more full (and thus less like you're dieting). Your body also uses more calories to digest protein than carbohydrates or fat. And I haven't even touched on the…

You look like an entirely different person! Incredible!

When I worked in a restaurant, I had to be very strict. I would not eat anything from the restaurant. Nothing. Not a french fry or sip of soda. All I allowed myself to eat was what I brought. It was very hard, but for me it was a necessity. I don't do much of anything halfway.

on my fridge: "Just like being a little warm or being a little chilly, it's okay to be a little hungry." on my mirror: "Go for a run and then look again." in my head: "Are you dying? Then keep going."

^^ this. I've done this before, to spend a little time with a hottie. No shame, either.

With a shake of cinnamon and fat free milk! Mmmmmmm!

Agreed with both. Also, is that healthy?

If 12,000 steps is a typical day for you, don't log it. If you're usually more sedentary than that, log it.

5"1'. Starting weight 193. Current weight 129. Goal weight 120.

Give yourself time to adjust. You might be hungry at 1700 for a few days before you get used to it. Doesn't necessarily mean that you need to eat more calories. And a little hungry is different than starved.

Listen to wifey. Smart cookie.

Agreed. Or a heaping teaspoon of peanut butter.

I'm on a Glee kick! Gets me off the couch and dancing! :)

I've tried almost every crash diet out there, and I gained the weight back plus some extra. I had to make lifestyle changes to lose weight. My body feels better, too. I have more energy and my mood has improved.

I do cardio on an empty stomach because I quit if I get cramps. Then I hydrate like crazy and have a recovery snack (8oz chocolate milk or a heaping teaspoon of peanut butter or something). And then I do my strength training. Switch it up and see what makes you feel good.

Ha. Agreed. The only way I can eat it is to skip the spaghetti sauce on it, and smother it with butter instead. Not quite the idea behind it. I eat a small portion of whole wheat pasta instead, get spaghetti sauce without added sugar, and then have a giant salad.

Decrease your calories per week until you get down to a level where you're losing the weight you want. I'd say eat 1800 a day next week, 1700 a day the week after, etc etc. Of course, don't do this until you're starving yourself. 1200 seems to be the generally excepted lowest, but everyone's different. Might be 1400 for…

In my opinion, you should be eating more calories. There's no way I'd be able to sustain your current strategy. But my goal is a healthier lifestyle, which includes weight loss in addition to putting good fuel in my body. And for me, weight loss is a marathon, not a race. It's taken me this entire year to lose 74 pounds,…

Anytime I change my diet, I need time to adjust. About a week feeling gassy and bloated and constipated, too. (I know, yuck) I find that if I exercise it helps at least with the gas. And drink I drink tons of water, which feels counter-intuitive when I feel bloated. Hope you feel better soon!

193, but I'm only 5'1"!

I use The Women's Health Big Book of Exercises (I do the ones I can at home, I don't have a gym membership). It has thousands of different exercises for all different muscle groups. And I just make sure I mix it up. I have a hard time with my core, too, especially my back. This book really helps because there were so many…

I'm 5' 1" and my long-term goal is 120. 9 more pounds to go! I should add that I started getting healthy almost exactly a year ago, at 193. Yuck.

When a great song comes up on my iPod My new running shoes When someone has a random interest that I do (I get really excited about this. I just found out one of my good friends likes k-pop, too, and we both freaked like teenage girls!) I could go on forever. But that's a good start.

Gotta give yourself room to enjoy life. I didn't log on Thanksgiving. I won't log Christmas either. I will, however, log New Year's Eve. I don't want freebie days to be too close together.
i do it 3 times, one after another, and take the average... then leave it at that!
This is so simple yet brilliant! I love it! I'm going to start doing this.
