Wow, this is a really hard thread for me to read. I had a best friend for 17 years and 2 years ago she decided not to be friends with me anymore. No explanations, just total radio silence. So basically I must be her toxic friend. I've spent the last 2 years racking my brains for what I can do or say to get her back in my…

Tons. I didn't weigh myself once through either pregnancy. Carried a lot of water - should have seen my ankles - think they were wider than my head. When my youngest was 6 weeks I got weighed at my doctors and I was 192 lbs. I'd started at 154. Dread to think what i weighed with 9lbs of baby plus all that fluid still in…

That's amazing, well done you! Really a fantastic achievement. I too started running recently (august) and am a proper convert - love love love it. Couldn't run at school, have never really done any exercise before and now I'm running 5 to 6 km 3 times a week. It's amazing how quickly your body gets the hang of this…

Oo, bump, me too

Hey, thanks you're a star! That sounds awful for your son. My symptoms are nothing like that bad, you must've been so worried. Glad he's ok now. That's a great suggestion to go ask the pharmacist. Generally, you guys over the pond get the good stuff and we get the stuff that worked before they took all the good stuff out…

Sorry to paraphrase you but I agree! And I thought the OP was a good reminder to us all that size is just a number and we shouldn't get so hung up on it. I've been 2 stone (28 lbs) lighter than I am now but still needed a size 14 (UK) in some clothes even though I was quite underweight for my height and build. When I…

Wow you're quite harsh. I don't think you meant to be originally but this last response is, I would say, inexcusable...

^^ This! Within 5 weeks of taking up running I'd literally run my *kitten* off. And to be clear I'm not happy about it. My boobs were laid to waste when I breastfed my boys... Hooray for decent underwear!

Bumping for later...

Great post, thank you so much for sharing! will try to read the whole thread later to see if there are any recommendations on a pro/pre-biotic to take (am in UK). I have recurrent thrush, IBS and just hideous digestion. I've tried things like yakult and the multi-bionta tablets but didn't seem to make much difference - was…

That's me! I'm the sweaty, bright pink, (slightly less) wobbly fat girl, gasping for breath and staring resolutely at some point in the middle distance (there will be no eye contact, oh no no no) as I puff and wheeze my way past everyone else out and about when I'm 'running'. I love this. Thanks so much for posting.

It's just a summer dress but very fitted around and under the bust. Post a pic??? Yikes! I said it fitted I didn't say it looked good!

Hi and welcome! I'm in London and have 2 boys age 4 and 22 months. Please feel free to add me - I'm on here pretty much everyday

Thanks everyone! Will be very pleased to tell OH that I'm not a crazy! and will just keep an eye on my gait. I know as I get tired my posture starts to go - I stop holding my tummy in and start to slouch a bit. *tut tut* @brandyla - sounds like shin splints to me. I'm not suffered with this myself but if you do a quick…

Oh, and I'm on week 3 of a running and Zumba fitness kick

I'm definitely a real food sort (no marge, no low fat stuff - if i want Mayo, then I'll eat proper Mayo!). Don't often cook from scratch - have 2 children under 4 and work 3 days a week so try to cook at the weekends - when we're not rushing around from this to that. Excuses excuses!! Will open my diary but be kind... I'm…

I do agree, I really do. This is how I eat (mostly!): no margarine only butter, only full-fat milk, no sweeties, no pop/soda blah-di-blah-di-blah. And i am losing weight just really really slowly. But I do find all the mathematical stuff really interesting too! And if your eating habits are way out of whack and phrases…

I've just bought 30DS but haven't started it yet - glad i've read this thread first! Interesting stuff - especially the link to the chalean extreme article. Now I know to keep up my running while doing the shred, and to expect a weight gain when I do finally start it. I love this site... :-) You clever lot you.

That's amazing, well done you! Very inspirational. And you look fantastic!

I'm in west london too! Gonna add you!

I'm 5ft7 currently 159, goal is 140 but I'll see how I feel at 147. It's just a number. And I feel pretty great now tbh!

If I've lapsed I find that I have to spend a couple of days concentrating more on not overeating until I get back into the habit of it. I've got over 20 years of bad eating habits to forget - it's going to take time to ingrain new habits! The idea of planning what you're going to eat and then putting it from your mind is a…

I'm in Ealing in West London. 21 lbs down, another 19 (ish) to go. More friends always welcome! I've a few on here and have found them to be really really motivating!

I'm english with irish and welsh in the mix. I think I look like it too - blue/green eyes, dark hair, pale skin. I've been mistaken for german!! I was in the US at the time though - I guess all us northern europeans must look the same

Never have drunk soda/ squash etc. I've stopped eating food with no nutrional value - so crisps, sweets, chocolate, biscuits etc. I had half a piece of birthday cake on the weekend for my friends 5 year olds birthday - seemed rude to refuse children's birthday cake! Everything else in moderation.

Thanks everyone. I'll give it a go. I have sluggish digestion so am shy of eating too much before exercise. I know it's not ideal to exercise so close to bedtime but I work all day then have to get the kids fed/ bathed/ and in to bed. Then I have to wait for dh to get home from work... If I can't sleep for a couple of…

Bumpity bump. Great thread, thank you!
