Hi all,

Been on MFP for a few months and managed to swift 12lbs and fit into my old clothes comfortably. I haven't got a lot to lose but would like to have some more UK friends to share this journey with me.

I'm losing weight slowly, I started to portion control, eating more fruit and veg, eating out less, oh, I forgot, I started running!

If you like to cook with real food (no meal replacement products please) and enjoy exercising with an open diary, please send me a friend request.

Thanks everyone!

You sound similar to me. I love to cook from scratch and have started running only recently. I'm on week 2 of the couch to 5k plan. Sending a friend request

Sending you a friend request now. Confession, though. I do eat real food, but I can't say it's always the food I should be eating... I'm only human! I'm trying very hard to get back onto the healthy wagon and actually lose some of the weight I've gained the last couple of years.
  • I'm definitely a real food sort (no marge, no low fat stuff - if i want Mayo, then I'll eat proper Mayo!). Don't often cook from scratch - have 2 children under 4 and work 3 days a week so try to cook at the weekends - when we're not rushing around from this to that. Excuses excuses!! Will open my diary but be kind... I'm in london btw.

  • Oh, and I'm on week 3 of a running and Zumba fitness kick

No judgment on open diary, just need some new food ideas (being nosy). I had people told me what to do and what not to eat before... As if Prezzo can swap pasta with quinoa and grill their calamari instead of battering them! lol

    oh yes, this is me.

I try and pretty much make everything from scratch (bread included). I have a protein shake mixed in with some overnight oats because I am trying to up my protein and I can't think what else to do with the damn stuff!!! But other than that and the occasional slippage it's all good normal food!!!

I've not long started NROL4W so lifting weights is my plan right now, I'm not a cardio fan but like a good walk or enjoying the world.

My diary is open and I don't care how much wine you see in there!!!!
  • Sending you a friend request, I make all my stuff from scratch, pretty sure my diary is open (if its not yell and I'll open it), hate low fat yogurt, love butter, not sure about the running (prefer walking), I like hitting the gym a few times a week and sort of doing NROL4W

    Anyone feel free to add

Friend request sent. I'm doing NROLW, do need to start running as I'm going to enter a Tough Mudder.

Anyone else feel free to add
  • I've just joined a week ago and started to run, I can only manage tiny sprints at the moments with walking inbetween, but it works for me ar the moment (though saying that my knees are grumbling like no ones business today).

Love cooking and will try anything, my kids, as a result, are great eaters too. My only vice is wine, I think if I stopped drinking it all together I would be quite slim. But, it's part of my life with the great food and socialising so am aiming to just cut down rather than cut it out. I don't smoke (gave up 6 years ago) so it's my only vice.

Would love any recipes ideas, and will always post anything I particularly enjoy.
