5'5", 164 and a US size 12. At 175 I was a US 14.

I want to gain 23 pounds of muscle in 9 weeks! Where do I sign up?
-
I used to 'hate' veggies also. Then? I had grilled asparagus. Next was roasted bell peppers. I love them ALL now with the exception of carrots and mushrooms. Play around with fresh veggies, grilled or roasted.
-
I've been on 10mgs for 3 months now. I've actually lost 10 pounds, but it's been WAY slow the last 6 weeks.
-
I routinely eat Pistachios as a snack! Also red bell pepper with hummus.

600 calories is 600 calories. Nutritionally, the veggies are better for your macros than the candy bars. But strictly caloricly speaking, 600 veggie calories = 600 candy bar calories.

1 cup = 8 ounces.

I would straight up ask him why his equipment worked in the beginning, but supposedly isn't working now when apparently nothing has changed with your weight. He's lying about something. Then, I'd show him the door.
-
Yup. I agree. Increasing activity level and calories to see what happens. (I'm pre-diabetic, and recently had an entire blood panel run with all results fine aside from A1C and fasting sugar)
-
Stay away from the 'light' 'baked' 'diet' food. It's processed crap. Eat real food and increase activity. ETA: just read about your difficulty with exercise. I'm sure others will have great tips for you to add in activity. In the mean fine, definitely stay away from 'diet' foods! Good luck on your journey!

Almost 70 days in and I'm barely down 10 pounds. Started at 174, constantly running between 163 and 165 now. I'm 5'5". Increased activity greatly a week ago hoping to finally break the ten pound barrier. (First ten came off within 6 weeks)

I am on Lexapro. I definitely haven't gained weight from it. I am actively losing, albeit very slowly. I honestly don't think it's the Lexapro, I think it's over indulgence on the weekends, haha! Lexapro has been one of the easiest anti-depressants I've taken, with minimal side effects.

Are you logging it under the cardio section: Weight training?

Hi. I lost my brother (my only sibling) tragically as well, in March 2004. I know your pain. It doesn't get easier, but you do learn to cope and live with the loss. Thinking of you.
-
Green Day floored me. Simply amazing live, and FUN. Korn was great as well. Disappointments: Snoop Dog, Ozzy, and Tim McGraw.
-
I can totally tell!! Yay! You look great.

Interesting...my son eats healthy, and is on Zyrtec, Singulair (we took him off 7 weeks ago) and Pulmocort. He struggles with weight, and is considered obese. ETA: He was normal weight until an illness neccistated the need for meds. (Prednisone at times)

Diagnosed with Type 2 ten weeks ago, also high cholesterol, although I don't remember off hand the exact numbers. I was 174 when diagnosed, I'm 5'5". Nutritionist put me on a low carb diet, and what carbs I can eat depend on how they affect my sugar. I've found that fruit sky rockets my blood sugar, so I'm avoiding it for…

I'm on my second round of prescription strength vitamin D. 50,000 IU's once a week.
-
Wanted to add, I'm diagnosed Bi-Polar as well. I'm currently only on Lexapro. Exercise REALLY helps!
-
Depression and major anxiety here. I'm on Lexapro now, and actively trying to lose weight. Sent you a request! I'm open to other friend requests as well.
-
I bought a 24 ounce Tervis cup. 24 ounces equals 3 '8 ounce' glasses of water! I carry it with me everywhere, and I no longer have a problem getting in my 8 cups a day.
-
I'm 35, but feel free to add me! I peeked at your profile, and don't live too far from you.
-
Another suggestion...anxiety? Also, you can develop an allergy to anything at ANY point.
-
Also, I strongly urge you to see a doctor. Even if not allergy, it doesn't sound right. I know you are unemployed with no insurance, but I imagine your life would be more important than a few medical bills...
-
The lump in your airway reminds me of a food allergy. I get that when I'm exposed to peanuts. Are you allergic to cinnamon?
-
Tons more water, and less beer.
-
Mine have changed for the better. I still love chocolate, fast food, and beer---but I also love asparagus, spinach, peppers, Brussels sprouts, etc.--most of which I would touch in my 20's.
-
I use it occasionally in my protein shakes if I know I'll be low on calories for the day. I have to melt it before using...it doesn't seem to process completely in my blender if I don't. Translation: I use it occasionally to reach my caloric goal.

And you friend just wants to earn money off you. It's a MLM scheme.
