  • Some of my workouts such as Kickboxing, Zumba, and Cardio Barre I do calculate using the MFP calculator. As far as jogging or walking I use an app called Runtastic. WHen I use the elliptical, I go based on what the machine says based on my weight and age info I enter on the machine.
  • That's awesome!! thank you for your feedback! yes, I ran my first half marathon in February. I absolutely loved it. I know what you mean as far as feeling like you can eat what you want because you are a runner. Right after my half marathon i went straight to a burger joint, had a burger and a two beers to celebrate!! But-…
  • This sounds very close to how my body is built.. At 130 I look thin.. and at 135 I feel comfortable...but my goal is 130 just so that i can have 5 lbs to work with and have that room to bounce back and forth and be okay. The smallest size I've worn at my thinnest is a size 4... I do tend to build muscle pretty…
  • I will try up'ing my calories.. and hopefully i see a change..thank you so much!!
  • Thank you everyone for all your feedback and comments. I guess I just need to be a little patient...I've been eating between 1500-1800 a day..and 20% of my TDEE is 1689 ..so I think I'm going to up my calories a tad so the lowest calories I eat is 1600 (including exercise calories) and I'll see if i see any difference.
  • Yes, I'm a true believer and agree with you... 80% is what you eat and 20% exercise. I'm eating between 1500-1800 calories a day (including my exercise)..burning btwn 350-600 calories each time i work out.
  • That's awesome!! I'm 5'4 and I've only lost 4 lbs in the last 2 months. I workout 5-6 times a week and have been staying under my calorie goal but for some reason i'm not dropping the weight. I am actually thinking of changing my diet to eating only protein, veggies, and fruits. So it's basically no carbs, correct? I'm…

  • i usually go based on what the machine says, even if it's a much lower number than MFP. MFP probably does calculate our weight/age/height etc but it's not for sure, and either way, i believe the speed and kind of workout you do on the elliptical would vary per person. In 66 minutes I burned 670 today; however, i see other…
  • Exciting!! I've been doing the elliptical 5-6 times burning about 650 calories each time...I started about a month ago.So far I've lost 4 lbs. I've been juicing for breakfast, following gluten free diet, no dairy, no sugar, no red meat, no booze. So I just joined this group and can't wait to see what my results r in 3…
  • I started this same routine last week on my own, today I'm at 100 squats. I'm so excited to see this challenge and to know we are doing this as a group. I've been trying to engage my stomach muscles as well by sucking my stomach in while I'm doing the squats. I love it!! And, I am sure feeling those glutes getting firmer.…
  • I'm doing it too! I'm still doing 30 Day Shred Week 1 and Ripped in 30 Week 2. I just started the RI30-Wk 2 yesterday and I felt the same way, like i couldnt do it, but i kept going. I"m sure today it will be easier just like everything else..the more you do it, the easier it gets.
