I just started but I'm thrilled with my progress so far. I've lost 28 pounds since Feb 7th by doing things all wrong, according to most people on MFP. I strength train with a trainer for 30 minutes, 3 days a week, 20 minutes cardio 2 times a week, weigh everything I eat on a food scale, eat only 1200 calories a day, and only eat back my exercise calories if I'm hungry. It's not for everyone I guess, but it's working for me.

The first week was a few pounds for me too. I have a goal of five pounds a month, and I am averaging a little over six a month. There are weeks that I lose nothing, then I lose two or three in a week. It isn't a linear process for me, but I am reaching or surpassing my goal every month, so I am really happy about that! I have lost 18 in three months.

I am on month 4 and I have lost 15lbs so far. I am hoping that I can loose 2 more lbs in 2 weeks to get to my goal by my son's first birthday.

Almost 70 days in and I'm barely down 10 pounds. Started at 174, constantly running between 163 and 165 now. I'm 5'5".

Increased activity greatly a week ago hoping to finally break the ten pound barrier. (First ten came off within 6 weeks)

I started lifting 15 months ago at 190lbs and 18% BF ... Today I wander mid 190s to low 200 at around 10% BF. I lift 5-6 days/week 60-80 minutes + play a lot of volley ball & softball. Generally burn 600-1k or slightly more o'er session. Diet is ok but no where near perfect. Enjoy my food!! And beer :/

Yup. I agree. Increasing activity level and calories to see what happens.

(I'm pre-diabetic, and recently had an entire blood panel run with all results fine aside from A1C and fasting sugar)

I am at 3 and a half months and have lost 43 pounds. I have noticed that it has not been a consisenten weight loss. There are weeks were I will drop several pounds and then weeks where I only lose a 1 pound. Plus water weight and waste weight play tricks on you!!!
post like this drive me crazy lol
    but seriously good for you.
i've been at it for 3 months and have lost 13 lbs :/ but guys do lose faster than women.

You and me both! ugh :( I don't know why I figured I'd have lost more by now.
But yea, good for those who lose faster :)

It is not a race look at the positive...slower loss = less chance of gross hanging skin. slower loss = more time to lift so weight goes from fat to muscle.

This doesn't sound way out of line to me -- 10-15 lbs in 10 weeks should be a healthy loss I would think. My weight changes go in fits and spurts too ... I reach them ... Stagnant for a bit ... But eventually push through them without dramatic changes made. I could be wrong but wouldn't scare or surprise me.
