As you can see, I've been a member of MFP since 2008 and as of today, I've lost ONE pound. (Endless Halloween candy doesn't help the weight loss effort - Imagine that!) I've got no answers, so reading this thread has been helpful...my most recent success is that I found a coworker that lives in the same part of the city as…

It may not go or it may just be the last to go. Never know how the body is going to shed the inches. I know when I lose weight, I don't lose any of the girls either - my bras fit better because of reduced back flab, but that's about it. I'm getting a reduction for this reason...

I'm in Canada (Saskatchewan) and O'Doughs is the best I've had. They are even pretty good not toasted and they make my favourite bread as well. I can only get it from one store here, so I'm not sure how widely they distribute. I also just tried El Peto's shelf stable version and when toasted, they're actually not bad. Both…

You must not have celiac disease or are just eating wheat free? Spelt and barley are not gluten free...

I need to have some carbs in the morning, so I have a few standard breakfasts during the week: - gf cereal & fruit (new favourite is Natures Path Crunchy Vanilla or Maple) - cinnamon raisin toast (Glutino) & fruit - 1/2 bagel (glutino) + light cream cheese & fruit - oatmeal - mixed with different things...usually a touch…

Lunges - Make sure you push up through your heels and concentrate on an up and down movement instead of forward or backward...this will isolate glutes more.

Thanks everyone! I checked out Barbie Decker and wow! What a transformation...but after looking at her diary and blog, I know that lifestyle's not for me  I will set my goals balancing the result with my desired lifestyle - - but I bet I can look darn hot in a tankini after 40 lbs :blushing: Thanks again!

I've been following that pattern since I've joined MFP...for a year and half now. :frown: I started off really well again this past January then have hovered around the 6-9 lbs lost since then. I know I'm up this week again - just don't know how to break the cycle. It's so frustrating...

I've also made a watermelon salad just with cubed watermelon, crumbled feta and black pepper to taste (quite a bit). Simple and yummy but don't make ahead - it'll go watery.

I just started Effexor XR last week. What did you crave? I haven't noticed much of a difference yet, but want to make sure I'm aware so I don't unconsciously sabotage myself. Did you experience any other side effects? The last few days I've felt "nervous" a few hours after taking my pill...shaky, increased heart rate...I…

Has anyone made that diet pop cake with a gluten free mix? I'm going to give it a try with Bob's Red Mill Chocolate Cake mix tonight...

I've made this with black forest ham, crack the egg in, add a splash of milk and a bit of shredded cheese. Bake at 325 for about 12 min or until eggs are set

Have you ever considered asthma or some other medical condition? I know it can mask as panic or anxiety. I have asthma and have been exploring my anxiety issues (not exercise related) and have come across this a few times in my reading. Don't want to give you a "cop-out" but just something else to think about or ask you…

Same here...watch the gf stuff, very high in calories and/or fat/sugar. I'm sure once her body actually starts using the food she's eating, she won't be as hungry.

That's just unbelievable and is plain ignorance! I didn't lose any weight (at any point) and have never been anemic or shown vitamin/mineral deficiencies, but my doctor still did the tests and kept digging. Good for you for being persistent! If this doctor won't listen, find a new one! Good luck!

If she has been diagnosed with Celiac Disease, there is no such thing as degree of sensitivity! It is contact, it is crumbs, it is all wheat, barley, rye and commercial oat products (or anything that has come into contact with these ingredients)...there is no tolerance level. A big misnomer that celiac disease is referred…

Those aren't available in Canada (neither are the chex gf cereals) :(

Just ask your pharmacist. They'd be able to recommend one.

jbuffan218 I absolutely LOVE this! :drinker: "I dont smoke, drink, do illegal drugs or have promiscuious sex so what the hell, let me have my diet coke!" Hope I'm not too late to jump in...I weigh in Tuesdays, but will switch to Mondays. I thought my lowest weight had been 147lbs, but found my little record or…

I've been gf for almost 9 years now...I gained weight at the beginning as well...for me it was because every time I saw a gluten free cookie or other "forbidden" food, I binged. I finally figured out that I don't have to be deprived to eat gluten free! Being gluten free also makes it easier to say no to fast food and…

That's interesting...in my ongoing research, I've come across a few sources that link frequent ear infections to celiac disease. Since it is an autoimmune disease, I'm also convinced my asthma and allergies (hay fever type) (since gr 8) in addition to my celiac disease (2001) and Chrohn's Disease (2008) are all indicating…
