  • I'm a big girl (over 300), and I had lost weight previously this year, about 24lbs and no one could tell, one or 2 of my jeans did feel a bit looser, but that was it, about 10lbs of that was "water weight". I gave up because I was irritated that I was eating so much less, much better than ever, exercising and nothing!! BUT…

  • Thanks for your ideas, it is so ironic, because my bf and I just saw a commercial last night about the Dr Scholl's kiosks and were wondering were they were.. and if that might help me.. I am going to get a referral to the Pod, just to make sure there is nothing beyond just the pounding of all this weight on my feet.
  • Damn! How did you lose all that weight? My workout is the treadmill and the elliptical for now... I would love to get in shape to run, I think its perfect for me, but my Dr won't let me yet, due to my weight
  • lol, my boyfriend is 8 yrs younger than me, so I understand completely!
  • Yes, I feel the pain whenever I do consistent walking for a long period of time, but I usually only do that on the treadmill. The pain is the top of my foot from about an inch below the ankle to about 3/4" before my toes start. Sorta where the top bone is.. if that makes any sense. The pain extends left to right across the…
  • oh I'm still walking!! 3.0 is just a fast walk, for me anyway.
  • awesome!!! Care to share any secrets :)
  • Thank you both for the explanations! Sometimes you see things, but you don't really know what they mean until you realize they are what you've been looking for all the time! I saw that deficit stuff, but didn't catch on what it meant.. ::sigh:: learning, and determined to win this battle this time!!!
  • I never offically joined WW, but I did it online a few years back, and the points never left me. I started in Jan going straight with Calories and trying to watch my cholestrol (Dr has me on meds for it now!! Grrr) I love counting the calories, and also with knowing the points, it does help you choose some foods, because…

  • I hear what your saying, but don't beat yourself up! You didn't fall off the wagon, or give up, your health controlled the weight gain, and now that you're moving around, even slowly, that weight will come off. I'm sorry you were so sick.. glad you're on your way to recovering...

  • Thanks for answering. So if I could ask another based on your answer, the calorie deficit you mention, is that part of your exercise calories that you choose to not "eat" ? If not, would you mind a quick education on how the deficit is based? I am still so new at all this, and would love to see a 3lb lose average/ week.
  • Hi all. I have a question, what do YOU have set for your daily calorie intake, before exercise? How much did you select, or did MFP select for you to potentially lose per week, has it been accurate?
  • Hi all... newbie here. I am in SW area, morbidly obese and looking for a local walking buddy (gym or outside on occassions), friend, and accountability partner. Feel free to add me.
  • Can I join? I wasnt able to exercise last two weeks due to surgery, but I am ready now! My realistic goal is 800 min.
  • Hi everyone.. Tammy here, 45, and 315. I really started utilizing MFP in Jan 2012 and am amazed at calorie contents in some foods! I have PCOS which makes losing weight exceptionally hard, but I am determined to get down to 235. I am not trying to be a size 10, but to be thin enough and healthy enough to be able to enjoy…
  • Hi everyone! I am mom_to_2_nc on CM. I am really hoping to get myself back to the treadmill at the gym! Been out of sorts for 2 weeks now.... who wants to come with me? I go to PF and can take a guest for free. You dont have to do the treadmill you can do what you want... i just want the extra push to go

  • The infamous Weight watchers, Zero Point Soup.. its sooooo good, and of course good for you. Its perfect to freeze in portion size containers, take to work, and its thawed out by lunchtime. 3 cups nonfat beef broth (beef is the best) or 3 cups nonfat vegetable broth (beef is the best) or 3 cups nonfat chicken broth (beef…
  • it won't let me 'jump' there... keeps taking me to the main page :( I did a PCOS search, but there are pages and pages of actual posts, not just Forum names.
  • oops.. meant to quote a previous post.. let me try again
  • mmmm so I could use butter and cinnamon on my sweet potato :D tastes extremely good at the restaurants, and now I can 'justify' it lol
  • I am so glad I found this thread!! I'm just venturing out into the forums, and saw another PCOS one today, and now I'm finding others.. I'm sure I'll be using this quite.a.lot!!
  • Wow I too have PCOS. I totally "forget" I have it, (just accepted periods, pain, and other issues associated with it) until it comes to losing weight. I get so frustrated when I've cut down to about 1400-1500 calories and lose hardly ANY weight.. almost makes me want to stop trying, THATS when I realize its because of this…
  • I'm just getting into "challenges" and loving the ideas of them! I can't join this one, because I HAVE to weigh in every Saturday for the next 8 weeks... but think this is great, maybe in May :)
  • Can I join?? Its about 245am... just getting home from work and seeing this. I've been hunting for a challenge to keep me motivated. I'll put my challenge anyway, just in case :) Week beginning March 18th. I would love to push myself to exercise 180min. Normally I usually exercise 3x45min.. so thats a great goal for me :)
  • sounds really good! My son and I will make them tomorrow
  • wow.. thank you for the inspiration! I have well over 100 to go, so seeing these pics helps me stay focuse!
  • thanks!! I feel so stupid! grrr how did I NOT see that "Recipe" tab.. doh doh doh!!
