I've just completed week 6 :smile: I'm currently using the treadmill and "running" at 7.7kph. I know everyone says don't worry about speed at the start, but for week 7 I'm aiming to up the speed by 0.1kph for each day to see how it feels.

My point may have not came across, but dirtyflirty said it for me. We can teach about nutrition and exercise but if the kids are going home every night to stay inside and eat takeaways most of the time, then for most, that becomes the norm.

I'm making more of an effort to go straight after work. Once I've changed into my gym gear, then mentally I'm good to go. I'm so not a morning person! I'd still log it. It may put you off doing it again once you've seen the results. No point crying over it though. It's done, live and learn. Go for the walk and try to stay positive. One day overeating won't undo all your work, it's when you keep over eating that the damage happens.

Began again on the 12th January, been here several times but it never stuck... Was around 176 lbs and was fed up with buying bigger and bigger clothes. It's been a slow journey with a couple of bumps along the way but I currently weigh 147lbs.

I sin quite often :smokin: I refuse to add ketchup, olive oil, brown sauce to my calorie count - I don't wanna give them up :sad: I also guesstimate for takeaways, restaurants and buffets.

Took me about 5 months - I was exercising once a week for most of that. I've recently upped it to 3x a week. I wasn't worried about how long it would take. I look at this more as a lifestyle change and it will take longer to break the habits of a lifetime and create new ones.

:huh: never seen anyone read on a treadmill..... Why not use the stationary bike? That would maybe be a bit more do able. Or even just do your exercise then go back home to do your reading?

Think I may go with the ft4 for now. I do some cardio which I would like accurate readings for (cycling, Insanity) and it sounds like the ft4 would be right up my street. Didn't even think about the chest strap running out of batteries! Good shout :)
