I'm currently doing the Fast Metabolism Diet, but in about a month or so, I plan to try this out!

I'm currently doing the Fast Metabolism Diet, but after a few rounds of this, I hope to try out 5:2. Looking to connect with folks doing the 5:2 diet!

I learned in school that our body functions peak at 35 and then begin the decline. I'm not sure if that is good news or not, but that means nothing special happens at 40! :) And I'm right there with you, I will be 39 this year.

What's the difference between connecting via fitbit vs via MFP?

Ok! I use an average burn from previously wearing my HR monitor while doing these exercises. So I think I'm ok using either program since I usually punch in my own calorie burn. Thanks for the responses! Because I wore the fitbit today during the cardio class I hit 15,000 steps! Without that class I imagine it would have…

I'm new too!

I've only done P90X, but if you plan to do both, I would start with Insanity and then move to P90X. When you do P90X, be prepared to invest a lot of time each day!!

That's just it, you can eat a HUGE plate of food, with foods you are used to in smaller portions and other foods in larger portions and feel completely satisfied. That's why people are asking to see your diary. Some of us who have been at this for years and years, may have tips to make the most out of what you are eating,…

I have to search for some unsweetened granola!

I'm feeling pressure! How about I start on my own tomorrow, just to get my routine going, but redo week one and officially start with the group on the agreed on date? Would that work? I think it would. I really would love to be on the same day. It's got to be great to cheer each other on knowing we are ALL doing the same…
-
Don't change the date for me! I actually leave for my next business trip on the 19th, so I'm more likely to stick with it if I've started before I leave. I will aim to start on the 12th. For the person doing their first round of P90X, I wanted to add that I started my first round with bands - it was a great way to start…

I'm excited!! I have to see what starting on a Thursday does for my schedule. I may start on the 12th so that I have weights M, W, F. BUT, I like the idea of being on the exact same day as my fellow p90xers!

Funny, that's what I originally thought it was and then when I saw 9/15, I figured I must have read the original post wrong! 8/15 works for me. Still curious, is the goal for us all to start on 8/15 with Day 1?
-
SImon, Is the plan for us all to stat on 9/15 (that's what I assumed) or is it just for anyone at any stage of P90X? -Allison

Simon, I love your programs! I was thinking about doing P90X again...but I completely understand if you need to recruit some new names/faces. -Allison

I just borrowed these DVDs from a friend. I'd love to have support while I do them, though I won't be following the program to the T, because I'm also running and taking some classes at the gym. Please friend me and we can support each other! -Allison

Thanks Krissy. It's going to be a tough decision!

msrootitooti - does it show you your pace as you go along? The review said it only shows pace for the lap you set, rather than your ongoing pace, which would not help you adjust as you are running. I really want a HRM and a GPS together, and I don't want to break the bank!

Thank you! This is a great site!

I try my best, but I eat a lot of veggies and fruit, so that can make it tough. But I stay away from refined carbs as best I can. I will send you a friend request. -Allison

I know this is an old string, but I wanted to add my two cents. I have a smoothie every morning. As long as I prep any ingredients that need chopping the night before, it takes me 5 minutes to prepare. I try and mix up the ingredients each day to get different nutrients, but the basics are sugar free almond milk, 1 date…

It is! This wil be my second time, thought the first I didn't quite make it to the end because Is switched my focus to train for a 15k.

It's an at home workout program (you buy the DVD set) that focuses on building/toning muscles. It's fairly intense and a fairly decent time commitment, but it's a great program!

Sounds good!

I make a smoothie every morning. Unsweetened coconut milk, 1 date, fresh fruits or frozen fruits, and sometimes I add raw cocao as a treat. I'm always trying different combos of fruit. Sometimes they are good and sometimes they aren't! every once in a while I add greens too.

Nuts are great. My kids enjoy lara bars - fruit and nuts together.

Eggs with veggies! You can make a wrap with a light or high fiber tortilla the night before and then warm it up!

I totally get it. Not everyone agrees on everything. I really don't care what other people think or do, but if someone asks for my opinion I will give it. I didn't ask for anyone's opinion. I specifically asked if anyone had done the Clean cleanse or planned to! it's too bad other people feel they have to comment. It's…

I'm confused about the olive oil at night since you are not supposed to eat for 12 hours between dinner and breakfast. When did you do the shots?
