  • This weekend our classic car club went for a cruise. We stop at a local public park to use restrooms and stretch our legs. It also allowed for outdoor, socially distanced conversations. One of our members who hadn't seen me since before I started losing weight came up and introduced himself and asked me who I was. When I…
  • I picked up a pair of clearance capris in a size 8 thinking I might be able to wear them later this summer. Just to see how far I had to go, I tried them on and they fit. They weren't tight. I can easily get my hands in the pockets too. I was really surprised because the scale hasn't moved in a month. So I tried some 10s…
  • I too try to thank people when they comment, even if it's awkward or not quite a compliment. I think a lot of times people want to say something positive and encouraging but their view on their own weight muddles it up. And for those that are just being mean or hurtful, you're right, there are alot if other people in this…
  • I believe the best diet is the one that works for you and you'll stick to. Congratulations on finding what works for you. Remember that it's ok to modify your plan as you need. It's whatever you need.
  • I had a close friend recently told me that I didn't need to lose anymore weight and I better stop before I'm too thin. I was briefly annoyed but quickly remembered that people aren't used to seeing normal BMI. So I laughed and told her thank you. I said I was glad that I'm able to hide my extra weight so well but my doctor…
  • It's been raining here the last couple of days. Even though it was raining, I still took my walks. Normally that would be my excuse not to go.
  • I'm sorry for your loss of your dad. Great job on keeping motivated and working on your goals. Its not easy under the best circumstances and even harder when there are personal tragedies going on also. Congratulations.
  • I love All Trails. I'm working on using it more too. It's a great tool to get me to move more.
  • I had an A1c check last Friday and I maintained the 5.2 even though I went off all meds for glucose control in Dec 2020!! In July 2020 I was at 9.5 so I'm pretty happy with it and my doctor will be too.
  • Congratulations! You look great 👍
  • After years of not fitting into knee high boots, I finally bought a pair that not only fit but I have room to tuck my fingers in the top to adjust my socks!! And their not even wide calf boots. 😊😊
  • Great job!!! You look fabulous. You can be proud of you hard work.
  • The scale hasn't moved much the past 6 weeks but when I sat down at my sewing machine today for the first time in a month, I had to raise the seat of my chair a bit because I was too short. I asked my husband if he used my sewing chair for something, he said no and when I told him why I was asking he said, "well that's…
  • I bought a new walking jacket for the winter late last year from poshmark. It fit but I had to pull the bottom up a bit to get it zipped as it didn't quite fit around my hips. Put it on last night and noticed I didn't have to adjust at all to get it zipped.
  • When I went from obese to overweight, I got a mani/pedi. I usually only do a pedicure in the spring and summer so one in the winter and a manicure was a real treat. I'm still a few months from being no longer overweight but I like some of these ideas for a celebration when that comes.
  • Just bought and fit into the first size 10 jeans I've owned in over a decade!!
  • I do this also. It works well for balancing those treats with my calorie and nutrient goal. You can also do it with your exercise. That way when you don't quite feel like exercising you can see how it's going to affect your daily goal and it gives you a little bit more motivation to start that exercise
  • Realized I don't even need to unbutton and unzip my size 12 jeans to take them off. Guess it's time for a smaller size again. Also bought a pair of medium workout pants and they fit!
  • Although I set my miniweight goals in 10 lbs increments, I'm currently also looking forward to reaching a logging into MFP goal of 6 months straight.
  • Paid is better for me. Being able to watch the macros and getting rid of the ads is a big deal. I do most of my logging on my phone while on the go. Before I went to the premium version it was so slow because of the ads, it made me skip logging which made it less accurate. The macro information keeps me eating balanced…
  • Congratulations! You look fantastic.
  • Congratulations and thanks for sharing. I was diagnosed type 2 in July with an A1c of 9.5 and non alcoholic fatty liver disease. In Oct my liver enzymes were normal and A1c was 5.7. Dec 18 I tested an A1c of 5.2. I've lost weight and like what I see in the mirror but the lower A1c and healthy liver was the real motivation…
  • Great job. Its made a noticeable difference already. I didn't take measurements or even a before photo either. Wishing I would have done that now. But the sooner the better in your weight loss journey.
  • My A1c was 5.2 and my HDL was up to 50 from 40.
  • I had a similar experience last night. My size 16 pants we're getting so loose that I needed to go by at least one pair that fit better for me in public. I grabbed a pair of 12s and of course you can't try them on currently so I had to take them home and they're a little loose. I'm wishing I'd grabbed a pair of tens for…
  • I'm new to the discussion boards. What is a NSV?
