Can low carb trigger migraines?
Anyone with experience in this regard? I tend to keep my carbs between 50 g and 80 g a day. I have been at this for a few moths now. Can low carb affect hormones or migraines in any way? Thanks!

Yay!!!!
Today I weighed in at 159.8 Lbs! I'm in the 150's! I started out at 187 Lbs so I'm feeling victorious about this milestone! All the good encouragement from my MFP peeps and also seeing others rack up the loss is a huge part of what keeps me going! Who else scored a victory today?

Ladies 40+ Migraines?
I am hoping to hear from women who began having migraines in their 40's. If you have migraines: * have you always had migraines or did you only begin having them in your 40's? * How often do you have them? * What do you feel during the prodrome and postdrome phases? * Do you also have a visual aura? * If you get the aura…

Serving sizes that are kind of mysterious.
What drives me up the wall is the labeling on some items. A label may say a serving size is 4 oz of say, ground beef. Is that raw or cooked? Sometimes rice or other grains pull the same dirty deed. Or The serving size will be specified as raw and leave the cooked serving a mystery. Some items do not measure the same after…

Turnips!
Not the greens mind you, just the root part. But if you have a good recipe for the greens you would like to share go for it! Currently I am just steaming them and adding a little butter. What do you do to your turnips?

Chub-rub anyone?
First let me ask, what do your thighs measure each? I have a lovely glob of fat right up top that I really hope goes away at some point! My thighs are 24 1/2 " around each. And skirts are out unless I powder up to prevent raw skin from the chub-rub. I know that it isn't possible to spot reduce, but do exercises for the…

Beans with out rice? Felony or misdemeanor?
I saw in comments on a separate thread somewhere someone mentioned after reading someone's food diary that the person had beans with no rice. I have heard before that they should be consumed together but why? I know, it's probably something simple and I *should* already know. But I don't know and I fail to understand why…

Food scales!
I have been weighing my food for the past 10 years. I find that the Taylor brand food scale I used to love has gone downhill. I spotted this one today. Has anyone else used it? If so what do you think? Thanks! https://oxo.com/5lb-food-scale-w-pull-out-display#black

Losing weight freaks me out!
First off thank you for accepting me into the group! I don't know why but through out my life any time I lost weight, especially if the weight came off easily I panic. Like I'm doing something that I shouldn't? Like It's something that could hurt my body I guess? I'm back on the wagon again after almost 9 months of…

Orthotics?
I currently am using Dr. Scholl's orthotic shoe inserts. They really help me as far as my knees go. I have the issue of comfort though. If I put these things into my shoes they elevate me a little too much so that my heel is always playing peek-a-boo out of the back of my shoe when I walk. This is very uncomfortable and…

Did you use the MFP thingy to set your calorie goals?
After a little discussion with a MFP friend I figured I would venture into my "goals" and see what I could see. I entered my info blah blah blah. I just wonder, how accurate is this thing? I do keep up with what I consume most of the time, I do have times where I just don't bother. (go ahead, burn me at the stake) I don't…
