Any advice trying to lose weight when you're already "thin"?
I'm 5'6 and 128 pounds. I'm most comfortable at 115lbs (what I used to be), but I find it very difficult to lose weight when I'm already at a very normal BMI. I eat 1200 calories a day, but do I need to cut down even more? Is it even possible with my BMR to lose 2 pounds a week?

Joining Equinox or joining a fitness class?
Hi guys! I've been contemplating joining Equinox because they're having this great Black Friday sale giving away 2 free months, but I'm also interested in joining a fitness class called "Orange Fitness Theory", which combines HIIT cardio and weight training. The only reason I'm hesitant about joining Equinox is because…

How do you LOSE muscle?
I don't like the "toned" looked on myself; I used to be petite but I've gained some weight along with muscles since I've been doing weight training. I don't like the muscular look on my thighs, and I just want them back to their thinner, slimmer self, although I still want to lose the fat on my thighs too.

Gaining weight and it's not muscle?
Hey everyone! It's another one of those: "what am I doing wrong?" posts. I'm 5'6, 129lbs. I'm eating 1400-1500 calories daily, and I measure/track everything. I do 60 minutes of cardio/weight training a day, but so far I've actually gained 3 pounds. It's not muscle because the weight training isn't that intense (and I…

I can't gauge how much I'm actually burning when I'm working out?
I do a barre class 60 minutes daily. I'm 5'6 129lbs. (http://physique57.com if anyone is curious). It's a combination of pilates, yoga, weight training, resistance, a little bit of cardio e.t.c Granted I know I won't burn as much as others, but I don't really know how much I should be eating to compensate for the work-out.

Can someone explain why it's so much harder when you're smaller?
I have a few concerns that some of the MFP community has brought up to me: 1) At my current height weight 5'6/128lbs, I should not be eating 1200 calories, that's too little. However, that's what MFP suggests that I do? 2) Wanting to lose 2lbs a week isn't possible with my weight. I'm not sure if I understand why or how…

No kitchen?
I'm a college student only equipped with a microwave :) Unfortunately I'm gluten and lactose-free as well, so coming up with food ideas is difficult. Any super simple (few ingredients, no mess) recipes I could do?

Scared of being "sore" after workout class?
I used to go to barre class everyday, and stopped for the past month. I went two weeks ago for 3 days and was extremely sore. I haven't gone back since because I'm scared of the struggle/soreness. Any tips to get beyond this mental road block?
