How many other 70+ year olds here?
I hit 70 years old in a couple of weeks. I was just wondering how many others here are that age or more and what your goals and motivations are. I am working on weight loss and general fitness. The reasons are that I have, over the last year or so, gained about 7kg in weight and have not cycled for a year and a half…

Help needed to banish my 'spare tyre'....
My walking/cycling regime is very successful reducing my weight and is ongoing. In 45 days I have lost 6.2kg (just under 14lbs). I am very happy about this and the flab around my waist is quickly disappearing. However it is leaving an unsightly flap of skin and remaining fat. Walking and cycling don't seem to be reducing…

I shall be looking into this further but I'm just wondering if any other cyclist has come across such a discrepancy with…

Very disheartened!
In a whole week I have only lost 200 grammes. :( Before that I had lost 7 kg in 52 days. This last week I have eaten less and exercised more than the weeks when I was losing over a kilo a week. With my daily cardio I burn nearly 1000 calories (walking and cycling), my weight loss calorie allowance is 1500 calories so I…

One big benefit: I sleep much better!
With the extra daily exercise, controlled diet (result:not feeling bloated), shunning alcohol and generally feeling better about myself I am sleeping much better. I used to frequently rely on a mild sleeping aid to help me sleep through the night but not any more. o:)
