Mfp has gone haywire
Today I've eaten 1450 calories and fitbit is showing I have burned 2450 calories. However, in my diary it's showing calories burned from mfp 2400 and fitbit as 2450 but apparently at 1450 calories I've eaten 300 too many. My goals are the same, 500 calorie deficit.

On a diet break, weight gain or just fluid retention - cracked ribs
So I hit 30lbs weight loss on my 30th Birthday 10 days ago (I lost 3lbs before joining MFP) so decided it was time for a diet break, naturally I ate quite a lot over my birthday weekend but was still 1500 under my net maintenance level. I am set at sedentary but do at least 7000 steps a day aswell as body pump and step…

Low carb = dizziness
So yesterday I hadn't planned to do much, walked about 4 miles and did 2hours of house work, so I decided to try low carb to shake things up a bit. Managed to stick to 80grams of carbs all day, didn't feel too bad but struggled to stay awake past 9pm. This morning; however, as I sat up on the edge of the bed and went…

Weight loss plateau already? slowed right down
Started my diet on 27th Dec and lost 9lbs by 31st January but since then I have slowed down. 9lbs since then (3lbs the week after my wisdom tooth with about 1200 cals a day an 0 movement) So 3 weeks ago I started exercise classes, week 1 I did 1 x step aerobics and 1 x body pump. Week 2 1 x Step as the instructor was ill…

FITBIT newbie HELP!
I have just purchased the Fitbit flex to help motivate me as weight loss has slowed right down, but I have a few questions so thought I would ask here in one big topic to save posting hundreds. Calorie adjustment on MFP My MFP is set as lightly active as I generally average 4000-5000 steps a day (while using belt clip…

Diet breaks
The past 10 days I have completely written it off as being a bad time. As you know I had my wisdom tooth out and lost 3lbs in a week as I was thrown off my routine and lost my appetite. Tried to exercise and ended up in pain so clearly I wasn't ready. I know I have lost weight but it's not been in a healthy way eg skipping…

Exercise after wisdom tooth removal
Had my wisdom tooth out a week ago today and pain has almost completely disappeared with the all clear from the dentist. I have been struggling to eat enough but hoped exercise would get my appetite back. Before having the tooth out I was squatting 4 sets of 10 with 10kg so tried 2 tonight, and found myself with a slight…

Lost Appetite
I had one of my wisdom teeth removed last Wednesday and since then the weight has fallen off. I started off eating chocolate pudding, ice cream and mash veg and at the weekend had fish and chips as I felt really lethargic and figured it's soft food. But I am struggling to get back into routine, I am now drinking loads to…

Wisdom tooth removal
Next week I should be having a wisdom tooth removed under general anaesthetic. I'm aware that I'll not be able to eat properly for a while and deffo only soft food for a day or so. I'm keen to keep my diet on track which includes eating enough, I'll feel groggy so might not want to eat too much. I'll be resting so would…

Squats = fat burners
I keep hearing people mentioning how squats are great at burning fat. I seem to lose weight faster on weeks where I do lots of squats. I do 10-15 mins on the stationary bike. 2 or 3 reps of 25 squats, 25 biceps curls, triceps curls, side bends and 10 crunches (because I'm crap and my boobs get in the way) with 1.5kg…

Carbs or Protein

Bingo wings!
I've lost 11.2lbs in 5 weeks and although I lift heavy in my daily life eg filling 14lb haynets then hanging them, mucking out, carrying buckets of water, wheelbarrows and skip buckets full of *kitten* (14 horses) I also biceps curls and triceps pulldowns with light dumbbells (1.5kg) Today I was looking at myself as I…

Emotions
How do you deal with the emotions of dieting? I've lost 10lbs in 4 weeks which is a nice achievement, but today I just feel depressed. Other people have noticed I am losing weight but I look in the mirror and see fat, a year ago I was body confident but now I feel disgusted that I allowed this to happen, I look awful but…

Dodgy scales
What does everyone use to weigh themselves? do you regularly visit the doctors to be weighed by them? I think my scales are dodgy, I am weighing myself most days to see the fluctuation in weight and learn about my body. I found that a day after a sodium heavy day I weigh up to a pound more I guess due to water (I assume)…

Heart Rate Monitor
I have a resting heart rate of around 58 according to a recent pre op ECG and I'm aware that calories burned on MFP are not accurate so I'm looking for a reasonably priced heart rate monitor to ensure my heart rate reaches the acceptable level while exercising. I have seen some on Ebay for around £5 (reduced from £15) but…

Toilet problems
Sorry about bringing this up its a bit icky. As from my post before I'm in the middle of week three, I also wondered why I fluctuate so much. I think I found the culprit for yesterday's dismal weight loss and that's the excess salt from Sunday and Monday as I'd lost half a pound since yesterday. Another issue is my toilet…

Sorry I need help again - More indepth this time
According to my scales I have only lost 0.2lbs this week; however I am trying again tomorrow as I can feel fluid on my knee. This is an overview of the last weeks calorie intake and nutrition, I'm a consistently under goals despite Friday being a bad day. I got pissed off an binged a little. The first 2 weeks of my diet I…

How do you choose your activity level?
I have chosen my activity level as Lightly active but I'm not sure if this is correct. It allows me 1760 calories a day but I am usually eating I work for about 8 hours a week in a very physical job where I clock up 5000 steps in 2 hours, muck out stables, heavy lifting etc. I horse ride for at least 2 hours a week, use my…

Getting confused and frustrated
When my mum was ill I slowly put on weight then piled on another stone and a half when she passed away due to binge eating and stopping exercise, so the day after Christmas I started my diet. I lost about 7lbs in 10 days, every day the scale was going down. Since then it has been all over the place. Start weight 218lbs…
