Is it too late to join a dojo?
Ive always loved martial arts, and I've been learning bo staff on my own for a little bit. I'm 27, and I really want to join a dojo, but I don't want to be the only adult in a beginners class full of kids. Anybody know if most dojos offer adult beginner classes, or if its like boyscouts where everyone starts in the same…

Best piece of equipment for the busy life
I have a job that requires me to work 14-16 hours a day/ 6 days a week, and after that, I don't want to workout one bit. But the best piece of equipment I have is a 5lb weighted hula hoop. I start dinner, and while that's going, I do my hula hoop. When I worked the long hours in the summer and the fresh garden vegetables…

The best way to not fail is having someone feel they already have.
I have been doing so well on counting calories and not wanting to overeat because of certain friends on myfitnesspal. Early in the morning, I scroll through my feed and see a few people saying 'messed up', 'ate too much', 'I feel terrible', and it helps focus me better since I don't want that sense of regret. So don't…

If I add more workouts, will it harm me?
I've been doing Insanity, running, weighted hula hoop, and bo staff training. Ive also been very spot on with my calorie intake too. However, I have really bad ADHD, and in the evenings I get way too energetic that my body actually hurts if I don't move. If I add in another Insanity workout in the evenings to tire myself…

Milk Does a Body Good
So all last week I had a cup of milk for breakfast and a cup for lunch, then I blaze through my workouts (insanity, weighted hoop, running, and bo staff). This week, I switched and didn't have the milk and I struggled through my workouts horribly. Anybody else notice a food that really keeps them focused? I always thought…

Stick with goals other than a smaller size or the number on the scale
I have dieted all the time and it gets boring always trying to fit a certain size, or weigh a certian amount. I am metaphorically throwing out the scale and focusing on new goals. I am doing Insanity, and I am learning the bo staff. One I would like to complete the challenge, and the other I would like to choreograph a…

I can't seem to get motivated enough to workout. I've been listening to up beat music, and I did my weighted hula hoop, but I can't seem to do my insanity DVD, treadmill, or even my bo staff today.
