  • You are very correct! My mindset of ‘all or nothing’ is setting me up to feel like a failure when things don’t go as planned. One day at a time, one step at a time.
  • I’ll have to keep my eyes open for all of y’all then.
  • Wow! It’s incredible to recognize someone from so long ago! It’s great to see you again!
  • Anybody that stops by this thread, I’d love some new friends. Been on here since 2015, but after taking a few years off, none of my old friends are active anymore. Kind of lonely without social accountability.
  • I gotcha covered! I love talking food and fitness, so feel free to dm me whenever you want to know something.
  • Hello! I joined MFP in 2015, but stopped using the app years ago after an update made it impossible to use. I quit working out 3 months ago after breaking my hand during an MMA match, and gained some excess fat by eating my feels every night. 😅 Physical therapy is almost done, and I’m ready to get back into fighting shape…
  • Excited to start this challenge! I’m a ‘bored’ eater at night, but I’m enforcing intermittent fasting into my routine and will stop eating at 7pm. Good luck, everyone! Day 1 start: M vs LNS
  • I would love to join! I put on some weight and stopped exercising for 3 months when I broke my hand during an MMA match, and I’m getting close to finishing physical therapy. I want to get off my keister, and drop about 20lbs total, but looking at losing 5lbs this month. I’d also appreciate new friends along the way too to…
  • Open diary. Not counting today, though since I’ll be at my parents. But tomorrow will be back.
  • I I always found its better to reward yourself after a great week of healthy eating, and getting in all of your workouts. This way, you’re focusing on creating the habit necessary for a healthy lifestyle. We’ve all hit plateaus when losing weight and it becomes frustrating causing some to throw in the towel. And I’ve found…
  • I buy a new manga every Saturday, and then I add a new character to my Halloween sleeve at the end of each month.
  • I also struggle with binge eating which attributed to my bulimia.
  • 5’7”- 133lbs TOP-fitted small, but I prefer baggier clothes so I choose mediums. BOTTOMS- usually size 2, but I have a pair of 0’s and a few 4’s I wear with a belt. Depends on the brand.
  • When I did keto last winter (I’ve since returned to my vegetarian lifestyle), I found shirataki noodles near the vegan/Asian/organic section of markets. They’re 0 carbs, and very versatile. I enjoy them even now that I’m back on carbs, but I also love all foods. My keto coworker didn’t like them since they have a distinct…

  • I don’t use shakeology either. I eat mainly a plant based diet, so I basically just do CICO.
  • I actually have bananas in mine right now. I start them after work and let them go overnight. I bought a mandoline for my apples since uneven slices makes dehydrating a bit annoying since half will be done, then you have to condense the softer ones on another tray to continue drying.
  • Just snack on more fruits during the day. They’re quick to grab and the water flushes excess fluid. Watermelon tends to be an excellent way to move extra water retention from sodium.
  • I think it comes more down to a lifestyle you want. If you’re craving something hardcore, have it. You coding even have to wait for a specific day if it can fit into your daily goal. And go ahead and enjoy yourself on a vacation. Sample local food you won’t usually find in your own city instead of binging on everything,…
  • I used to eat 8-12 eggs a day when I was lifting heavy over the winter, and I was very lean and not very hungry with the macros coming out nicely. But since I’m female with a smaller structure, 30 some eggs wouldn’t be necessary for me. The benefit is that eggs are cheap, very versatile, and quick to cook.
  • I thought the same since she never really talked about ‘dieting’ until the last sentence, and assumed she was only talking about being ‘naturally’ thin. But I think what she means is that, you know you have disordered eating, but mixed with body dysmorphia, you don’t realize you’re thin. Like in my case, I know I have an…
  • I haven’t had a drink since December 2015. It’s easiest just going cold turkey. But I quit due to religious reasons (Buddhism), so I had that in my mind every time I thought about having a drink with dinner. You can do it. My roommate was a major alcoholic before I moved in and he went an entire year without a drop when I…
  • It’s only available as the premium. Net carbs are just total carbs minus fiber. So something that has 10 total carbs, but has 6 grams of fiber, your net carbs are 4. When I did keto last winter, I just separately tracked it on a piece of paper.
  • I would just go with a Fitbit reading. Doing the workout is more important than what you log it as, anyway.
  • Have you tried hemp seeds? They contain every amino acid and even omega 3, 6, and 9. You can sprinkle a table spoon in morning oats, or a protein smoothie every few days. If you notice bloating from omegas, try taking them at night.
  • I’ve been gluten free due to celiac disease. I lost a lot of weight when the illness hit because I was so nauseous and even water wasn’t sitting well. After getting a biopsy of my stomach and small intestine, I did the FODMAP diet which eliminates a ton of things while your body heals itself. Then you begin adding foods…
  • An eating disorder begins in the mind, and way before you count calories. I’m actually a few weeks in recovery from my 20 year ED, and MFP isn’t the issue. An ED is a mental health issue. A ‘normal’ person can eventually have disordered eating, which is very different from an eating disorder. People with EDs starve or…
  • I did two rounds of 80 DO this year and loved it. For the rolling of the bands, I bought nylon bands from Lovotex (amazon sells a 3 pack for a good price.) they don’t roll at all, and some moves will appear a lot less, but you feel the muscles more. Keep the regular bands for moves like tricep extensions since the nylon…
