heart rate and calorie burn
Yesterday was a very stressful, emotional day at work. Normally, while sitting doing computer work my heart rate is around 60 bpm. Yesterday, is was hovering around 90. My Fitbit said I had a great calorie burn yesterday - but I don't believe it since I was basically sitting all day. I've heard heart rate is only a rough…

Realization
i started out a year ago, and have lost just over 50 lbs. I was a size 20, and have slowly been working my way through my stash of smaller clothes I've outgrown. The smallest I have is size 14, and they were starting to look a bit ridiculous. I went shopping expecting to buy some size 12 pants. Turns out I fit into size 10

Plateau :-(
I've seen the flowchart, I know what I need to do - I just need to vent. I've lost 50 lbs over the last year - steadily loosing 1 lb/week on 1700 calories. Confessions of a yo-yo dieter
The first time I tried to lose weight, I was in the 140's. I lost 20 lb and got to my goal - but I achieved this through eating special supplements and pre-packaged foods. As soon as I started to eat normal food, the weight came back, and then some. The second time I tried to lose weight, I was in the 160’s. Again, I lost…

Question on Running Recovery
I'm a new runner - and over the past 4 months have gone from being able to run about a minute at a time to running 3 miles continuously in about 40-45 minutes. Very slow, but still, I'm proud of my progress. I run 3 days/week. I've also been losing weight - about a lb/week - so I am in a calorie deficit. I get about 1700…

How often to strength train?
First post, so be kind. :) Which is better - strength training 3 days in a row peer week or strength training two days with a rest day in between? Background: I have lost 19 pounds so far, many more to go. I want add strength training to my routine. I can only exercise on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Not ideal, but it is…
