another loose skin question

I've seen lots of threads on how to prevent loose skin (answer - you can't. It's a matter of genetics, age, and time spent overweight). But I haven't seen anything about WHEN loose skin starts to appear. I'm down 50 lb of my 80 lb goal, and so far, my skin still fits. Does this mean I won the genetic lottery?
For those that have experienced loose skin - was it something you noticed gradually getting worse the entire journey? Or was everything great and then you hit a point where your skin cried uncle and just didn't shrink any more - and from that point on more weight loss = more loose skin?

I didn't notice much loose skin until I hit the 70lb mark, after that it just got worse and worse now at 110lbs of loss it is readily apparent unless Im wearing loose clothes. I'm 39 and have been obese since probably high school.0

Always remember: JCPenny sells spanx. Holds everything in nicely.0

Yes, I imagine spanx is cheaper than skin removal surgery.0

I wish I could have an answer for you.
I was my heaviest after my first was born and I had to have a c-section. Were the c-section was closed the skin is pulled tighter which created an overhang over the scar that wasn't there prior to the c-section or pregnancy. As I lost weight it shrank some and currently looks kind of like a deflated balloon. Okay that probably makes it sound worse than it is, really I'm probably pretty blessed. I don't know if my skin will ever retract fully. It won't stop me from wearing a bikini (I did this past summer).
edit: Probably should mention the little bit I have is after a little over 130 lbs lost, so it's not all that surprising that I would have a bit.0 -
There are some things you can do to tighten skin naturally. It will not be like plastic surgery but it will help. I have a few methods I use on myself and with my clients. I am a holistic nutrition coach and I have lost about 65 pounds myself.-1
