I've lost count of my "starts"
I've tried WW, Whole30, no sugar only, no carbs only, and I've tried giving up. I am unhappy when I cut a certain food group. I am unhappy when I eat as much of whatever I want. There seems to be no happy medium for me. I'm restarting MFP for probably the 4th time. I've never consistently lost weight using it, but at least…

Food Scale Guidance
First let me say, my goal is weight loss. I am 25, have 11 months until I get married and I'm currently 157lbs, 5'4" and would like to be in the 130's. Specifically, 135lbs. I bought a food scale and I understand how to use it, I guess at this point I'm just wondering what to use it for specifically. A lot of the foods I…

Why does weight gain make me lazier?
I should be motivated and driven to do better if I gain. So why aren't I? I just have this "screw it" attitude which makes my progress worse.

Going over on fats or sugars
I'm usually pretty good about staying under the suggested sugar and fat goals for the day. However, if I go over consistently, will that sabotage my weight loss, even if I'm under my calorie count? I didn't know if anyone had a personal experience or some insight. I don't plan on making it a habit, just curious.

Why did I only lose 0.2lbs?!
My first week using MFP, I lost 1.2lbs. My second week I lost 0.2lbs. Should I always expect my results to be so low? I'm 25, female, 156.4lbs and athletic. I workout regularly, at least 3xweek. I started my calorie intake as 1,505 and lost the 1.2lbs. Half way through my second week I recalculated and it showed I needed…

Was I not supposed to lose weight?
My goal here is to lose weight. I don't remember how I calculated this, but I got the number 1,505 for my calorie intake (I'm 5"4', 156lbs). I recently used a MFP calorie calculator and it said I should be consuming 1,438 to lose weight. I lost 1.2lbs last week. Is my body wrong or are my numbers wrong, because I know your…

Feel the guilt?
Does anyone else feel like they are going to gain weight even if they eat under their calories? I feel guilty every time I eat something that isn't a fruit, vegetable, or protein. I don't want to live a life of such food restrictions but I get paranoid about my weigh in every time a piece of wheat beat hits my mouth or I…

Portion Control
I started this journey measuring portions and it evolved into counting calories more than measuring. Which is better? Or should I continue with both? I measure my serving size so I get the right calorie count.

Reducing Calories? When do you do it?
I'm super stoked with this app and all the cool stuff it has, but I'm not sure what to do about reducing calories. I've had success in my first week of calorie counting/measuring portions. When do I reduce my caloric intake? Do I wait until I hit a plateau? Or do I ever? Or after every 1, 5 or 10 pounds? Thanks!
