Fitbit calories vs reality
I've felt for a good while that my Charge HR was overestimating calories out. I sat down with numbers this morning and that theory held true. Current stats: Female, 41, 5'5, 213lbs. Starting weight on 5/29/16 248. Weight 6 weeks ago 221.8. 6 week average daily burn via Fitbit: 2901 6 week average daily intake: 1624 6 week…

Diet breaks
Those of you who take diet breaks (eating at maintenance for a short time), at what point did you decide it was time? I'm contemplating one as I'm getting frustrated a bit by slowed losses and frankly, I'm tired mentally of the juggling. I'm almost 4 months in, down 35lbs and feel a serious binge brewing. I'd rather avoid…

Fitbit adjustments
This may be the mental death of me. I mostly want to wrap my head around all these numbers. This is long, I'm sorry. I'm female, 41, 5'5" and 215 (down from 250). I work 5 days a week in a big box retailer, walking, lifting, climbing ladders 7 to 8 hrs per day. I average 12k-14k steps on work days. Off days I average 7k. I…

Bone-in meats
I was looking over my nutrition information for today and was shocked at how high my calcium was. I never hit calcium goals (I take a supplement so no worries). So I got to looking at individual foods. I used the 10038 number from the usda site to look up the Bone-in pork chop I had tonight. It claims in 212 grams of pork…

Loss slow down
I've lost almost 30lbs. I've got 60ish to go to be in a healthy weight based on bmi. I have my calories set as lightly active, 1.5lb/loss per week. I have fit bit linked and average 12-16k steps per day on weekdays, less on weekends. I try to eat half or less of my fitbit adjustments and allow negative adjustments. I walk…

Activity level confusion
I've set my activity level for lightly active, but either my Fitbit is insanely inaccurate or I've under estimated my activity level. I lean toward the latter as in 6 weeks I've lost nearly 18lbs (from a high of 248). I sometimes net under my MFP goal when exercise is figured in to the equation and always under when my…

Marinades and logging
If I'm creating a recipe for a marinade that has oil and a sugar in it, how do I log that accurately? I'm not weighing currently but once the amazon package arrives that will change. But still won't help with liquids like a marinade. I can create the recipe but when a good portion is pitched, well, it doesn't seem accurate.
