I think it's helpful. When I hit a plateau I do it and it kicks my weight loss back into gear. I don't do any extreme IF, just the food between 12-8 and fast for 16 hours (don't eat until 12 next day.) Basically, skip breakfast and cut off food at a decent hour. It does me good and it doesn't feel extreme.
Egg whites, ground chicken, spinach and hot sauce for the win! Filled with lean protein, minimal carbs and some heat! Add an apple for high carb days.
