Activity level choices
I'm hoping someone would be willing to help me check that I'm correct in my calculations for calories. Mainly my activity level. I work as a gardener part time, which can be quite active some days, and others less. I work around 20 hours a week. I also workout 2-3 times per week. What I do at the gym is not consistent…

Losing my positivity!
So I'm really trying to keep my spirits up regarding my weight. last year's weight loss was spurred by my increased activity with my job (gardening part time) and a lowish calorie diet of 1800 or so. This year I've focused more on strength, but the diet has been sporadic. Now I'm back to my pre loss weight. The worst part…

Protein
How does everyone keep their protein up without necessarily eating meat and dairy all the time. I'm not opposed to eating them, but I try to avoid grocery store meat and dairy, and I'm a college student so I'm watching my dollars. Oh, and I try not to eat soy. Sounds like I don't have any other options lol. How much…

Feeling like a broken record!
I feel like I've posted the same thing here before, but I just need to know I'm on the right path. I'm 29, 5'2, 157lbs. My activity is typically walking to school and back (maybe 2 miles?) mon-friday, and as of late the gym has been infrequent (I seem to have lost motivation) but I'll try to go once or twice a week for…

falling off the wagon
Old story I'm sure. But over the last few days I've utterly given up on recording calories. Partly because I had friends in town, but honestly I just got tired of all that tracking. Normally I love my gym days and hit it with vigor, but even that has turned into a chore. Part of me just says to be happy at the weight I am…

plateau
So for the 3rd week in a row, I've held steady at my current weight. I'm so frustrated. I'm counting calories like a maniac, working out 3x a week for no less than an hour, I walk 2-3 miles 5 days a week in addition to workouts, and I eat so much fruit and veggies I wonder what normal people eat. SO WHY THE HECK AM I STUCK…

How can I still be hungry?
At what point do I stop listening to my internal cues for hunger? It's the end of the day, I've eaten 1900 calories but my stomach is still saying it's hungry. What the heck man! Knock it off.

Upping calories and underreporting
I read that most people are under reporting their calories by at least 2-300 per day. Even dietitians were guilty of this. I'm pretty religious about weighing and tracking my food, but if I'm upping my cals, and under reporting am I going to lose the weight?

Friends
I'd love some new friends from this group to help me through the journey of eating a higher calorie diet. I did something similar to this last year because someone mentioned to me that she upped her calories to 1800 and it helped her lose weight; and it worked pretty well. SLOW of course. I had gained back some weight…

Too Soon to Plateau!
I fell off the wagon hard this holiday season and ballooned back up to my pre-loss weight, nearly 10 lbs. I've been back on the wagon now for a month and I've already plateaued. The first 5 came off quick; mostly water weight I'm assuming. I am hoping to lose 15 total by Easter (I'm not naive enough to think I can lose…

In need of accountabilibuddies
Happy new year everyone. Last year I was able to drop about 20 pounds, it took me a better part of a year to do so though! I have officially gained back half of said weight in a short amount of time. It is so depressing to see that scale move up again. I could use help with being accountable with my eating habits, I'm…

Calorie obsession
I've been a part of MFP for quite a while. I've had great successes with my weight loss just by monitoring my calories (albeit slow!) As long as I don't tell myself I'm on a diet, I can play my calorie game- I put in a higher calorie count and try to come in under it. The bigger the gap, the more I win. I don't beat myself…
